Although we arrived in the morning due to our flight home being cancelled, they managed to find us rooms that were already ready so that we could drop our bags and go into Verona. The information both in the rooms and provided by the reception staff was really helpful both for getting into Verona and for eating locally in the evening. The shuttle bus service to the airport the following morning was an added bonus and very efficient. They turned a nightmare situation of cancelled flights into an enjoyable extra day's holiday!

The Hotel Gattopardo is a friendly and welcoming establishment conveniently located close to Verona airport and just 10 minutes by car to the centre. The young lady on reception was very friendly, welcoming and efficient, so check-in was really quick and easy. The room was a good size, very clean and warm (important in December!). Equally, the bathroom was a good size, very clean and hot water was immediate, couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was included in the rate, but I rarely eat in the morning, so a couple of nice cappuccinos went down well! Overall it was a very pleasant experience at a good price. I have stayed there before and would definitely stay again when in the area, as it is very convenient for Verona airport.

Sparkling clean, the host is very friendly and welcoming, the environment despite being close to the airport is calm and silent for that peaceful night sleep especially after missing a flight like I did. The room is spacious and the bed is big and comfortable. Felt safe and homely to be here for a night. I highly recommend!
