We stayed at B&B Tregi as we had a late night flight coming in to Lamezia airport. The accommodation was perfect for us because it is very close to the airport and was excellent in every way, very clean with comfortable beds, brand new rooms, excellent communication with the staff, flexible self check in and overall good facilities with free breakfast, coffee and water.

Awesome view, however the water was too cold and the beach by the water is full of pebbles. The depth drops fast . There are no stores near by and the taxis charge an arm and a leg, therefore, rent a car if you wasn’t to stay longer

S. Eufemia is a small town with a lot of restaurants, pizzerias and few supermarkets, pharmacy and clothes, accessories shops, cafes and hotels.
It is located less than 5 minutes drive/bus from the Lamezia Terme Airport and Marinella beach, few minutes by walk from Lamezia Centrale station.
You can easily jump on a Regionale or intercity train and if you're lucky with a discounted weekend ticket or weekly ticket with Trenitalia, you can explore all Calabria coast from Reggio Calabria to Praia a Mare.
As well as if you rent a car you can explore the picturesque mountain villages only 20/30 minutes away for traditional food and local produces, as well as the peace and tranquillity of the woods and nature around them.

Small Italian town. We have prior been further down the coast for 8 days, where it was much busiest. These were our last 2 days. We had chosen it because of the proximity of the airport. It was a perfect relaxing ending to our holiday.

After spending 15 days in Caria we had an early flight out of Lamezia. We didn't have any time to spend in Lamezia, other then dinner the night before our flight, but this accommodation was very convenient to the airport as we also had to drop off our rental. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to make a very comfortable stay. Parking is right next to the unit which was also a real plus for us.

My family is from Gizzeria so I am probably biased. The area fairly unspoiled by tourism but there are still lots of restaurants in the area. Some of them are real gems, especially if you like authentic Italian foods and plenty of sea food. There are a few tourist activities, like quad bikes, but not that many. If you want great beaches, this is the place to go! Not a lot of shopping in the area and the nearest mall is probably 10 - 15 miles away. Relying on public transport is probably not a good idea. A hire car is a better option as they're available fairly cheaply. Some beautiful scenery, especially the mountains.

I know we were in italy but all the restaurants seem to have much the same menu. Not much choice of other types of restaurants. Although we are avid walkers there wasn't much to do here. Catanzaro lido was a nice day out but one day was more than enough.
We didn't hire a car so venturing too far was not a starter. Choice of train destinations limited because of length of time of journeys
