We arrived very tired after many days walking the Portuguese Camino, then a flight to Naples airport late evening.
Ziettas Pop House was just a short walk from the airport, so convenient.
5 star accommodation, everything was perfect.
The Pop artworks were fabulous.
Excellent communication about entering and exiting the apartment, it's easy.
If you are flying into Naples later in the day, stay here, you will not regret it, so much easier than trying to get into Naples in the dark, and you get a fabulous apartment.

We arrived early in Naples and had asked if we could leave our bags. To our surprise, they had already prepared our room. We were welcomed by very nice and helpful people at Home To Fly.
The location is of course perfect: 2 minutes walk to the AliBus to Naples and 5 minutes to the airport departure hall.

Naples is a busy city, with loads of interesting places to visit like Pompeii, Sorrento, the Metro and Train service is very good to get around. Loads of shops bars, dining areas. The people of the city are very welcoming. The prices of food and drink are very reasonable for a city. Its a must visit.

I wasn't aware the Melito di Napoli wasn't actually a part of Naples. It boarders Naples, but isn't actually part of Naples, and because of that, Taxi drivers rip you off. I had one taxi driver tell me that because the drop off was outside of Naples, he'd be charging double the meter rate... For an extra 5 minutes outside of the city... It's just crazy. Also the area we were in was beat up and really sketchy. We weren't comfortable just walking around, even in the daylight. Avoid Melito di Napoli, and stay in Naples.

Quiet, beautiful, clean town with welcoming people where I felt very comfortable! It's a pity that there are also less honest people, so you have to beware of reservations at B&B Le Canapine, but I highly recommend Villa Mafalda B&B if you want a quiet stay in a wonderful place.

Great place for trips around.
Great place for trips around. Great transport accessibility by train to Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum. It is a clean city according to local customs.
There are many shops and services available. The location is very well accessible from the airport (by car 15 minutes, if there is no rush hour).

It was close to a train line and it was easy to get to Naples. Also the location was good as it was in the middle and we could go to Naples and to Amalfi coast, Pompeii from here with little problem. The traffic in Naples is chaos so it was good that we could get there by train and then use the metro from there.

Cheap price compared to Lisbon, easy to walk around, just need to be careful when crossing roads because the traffic is nuts. The city itself is a bit dirty (streets littered with trash, graffiti all over) and has a feeling of being very historic.

Lots of small food cafeterias and various shops down the high street. Pizza, pasta is readily available. The sea is close where the fishing vessels are to be seen. Its a bustle free location to relax and situated within easy reach of the City and archaeological sites. It has two stations situated close to each other.

I stayed four nights but I had been before.
I stayed four nights but I had been before. If I were travelling for the first time I would make sure to allow for separate day trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum (they are too much on the same day), Paestum, and the palace a Reggia de Caserta.
Naples is not like other Italian cities. It is not "beautiful", but it is bold, and has a vigorous street feel. It's museums - especially the Archaeological Museum and Capodimonte Museum are among the best in the world.
If you arrive at the train station you might find it a bit too much, but go into the historic centre and you may be thrilled.
I would not, however, in any circumstances attempt to drive a car there.

Portici itself is nothing much.
Portici itself is nothing much. As a place to stay just out of Naples, the hotel was lovely. Portici sn't great for visiting Naples itself daily due to the train service though, but then Naples centre probably only warrants 3 days. The local stations are Pietrarsa (modern trains but limited service), and Bellavista on the rather run down and crowded Circumvesuviana line. Travelling on the latter is not a pleasure, eg to Herculaneum or Pompeii, but that is an aspect of the public transport to such places rather than something arising from staying in Portici.
