Clean, new, comfortable and practical layout for family. Loved the theme and parting gift.
Close to airport and meant a more comfortable night of sleep than coming from town.
Breakfast was on the go and they provided perfect option for this.

Due to an early flight and need to return a rental car, we left Sorrento early and booked a room here because it is very close to the airport and the car rental return. The hotel looks shabby from the outside, which mad us nervous, but the inside was very clean and updated and actually better than the hotel we stayed at in Rome. There is also a nice restaurant/bar area attached. Very close to the airport. The girl at the front desk (Cinthia?) was the most helpful person we met in our 2 weeks in Italy, answered all our questions cheerfully and was so helpful. She arranged for a taxi to come at 4am to pick us up (could have walked but we had a lot of luggage).

The apartment was fresh, new & impeccable. It’s just a short 8-minute walk to the airport & is on the ground floor so was very accessible with luggage. Free snacks & minibar with Pepsi, juice, beer & water was a really nice touch. The host Simone was an extremely friendly, sweet & thoughtful young man who made us feel very welcome & well taken care of. He also used a gadget for mutual translation which eased communication.

Based on reviews, my expectations were very low. Turns out, this is the perfect place to stay when you need to be up and out the door by 4:00 am for a 6:10 am flight to CDG. The front desk is manned 24 hours and they buzz you out through the back entrance and it’s a flat 10-minute walk to the terminal. Various eats and drinks are available in the lobby, including spirits. The night before, there being no closer restaurants, we walked to the airport for dinner and to test run the route. The room looks basic but had lots of amenities: slippers, razor and toothbrush kits, treat on the pillow.

The accommodation was very clean and close to the airport. Just 5-10min to the airport. In particular, the host was very kind and helped me whenever I had difficulties while traveling. There were several times when I had to make local calls during my trip to Italy, but I had no italian number, at that time the host helped me a lot. So I was very grateful. I will definitely stay at this accommodation again next time.

Naples Airport (known as ‘Aeropuerto Napoli’ in Italy) offers a range of useful passenger services, including free WiFi, currency exchange, luggage protection, travel agencies and prayer rooms.

Loved Naples.
Loved Naples. Many tourists avoid or just pass through we were told, but we loved the authentic and gritty vibe the place has.
Would love to return if we get the chance for another short stay.
Overall the city presents great value for money - has to be one of the cheapest cities to visit in Italy and with Pompeii and the Amalfi coast not far away, there is so much to do.
Lots of history to this place
Worth a visit

I wasn't aware the Melito di Napoli wasn't actually a part of Naples. It boarders Naples, but isn't actually part of Naples, and because of that, Taxi drivers rip you off. I had one taxi driver tell me that because the drop off was outside of Naples, he'd be charging double the meter rate... For an extra 5 minutes outside of the city... It's just crazy. Also the area we were in was beat up and really sketchy. We weren't comfortable just walking around, even in the daylight. Avoid Melito di Napoli, and stay in Naples.

Quiet, beautiful, clean town with welcoming people where I felt very comfortable! It's a pity that there are also less honest people, so you have to beware of reservations at B&B Le Canapine, but I highly recommend Villa Mafalda B&B if you want a quiet stay in a wonderful place.

Great place for trips around.
Great place for trips around. Great transport accessibility by train to Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum. It is a clean city according to local customs.
There are many shops and services available. The location is very well accessible from the airport (by car 15 minutes, if there is no rush hour).

It was close to a train line and it was easy to get to Naples. Also the location was good as it was in the middle and we could go to Naples and to Amalfi coast, Pompeii from here with little problem. The traffic in Naples is chaos so it was good that we could get there by train and then use the metro from there.

Naples is very dirty and it appears as though it is not at all maintained. If you are driving, count your blessings if you survive. As the rental car agent told us, “there are no rules in Naples”. So many other places to try in Italy so my recommendation is to pass on Naples.

Lots of small food cafeterias and various shops down the high street. Pizza, pasta is readily available. The sea is close where the fishing vessels are to be seen. Its a bustle free location to relax and situated within easy reach of the City and archaeological sites. It has two stations situated close to each other.

Naples has a different attitude than Rome or Florence.
Naples has a different attitude than Rome or Florence. Not as much of the English language is spoken and the locals seem somewhat indifferent to tourists. I didn't see or hear as much English speaking people either. The city isn't as clean as Florence and graffiti is more prevalent. I also had to watch closer for dog crap on the sidewalk.
To experience Naples you need to do side trips to places like Pompeii and the Amalfi coast; Pompeii by train and Amalfi by bus tour. I feel that 3 to 4 nights is adequate for Naples.

Portici itself is nothing much.
Portici itself is nothing much. As a place to stay just out of Naples, the hotel was lovely. Portici sn't great for visiting Naples itself daily due to the train service though, but then Naples centre probably only warrants 3 days. The local stations are Pietrarsa (modern trains but limited service), and Bellavista on the rather run down and crowded Circumvesuviana line. Travelling on the latter is not a pleasure, eg to Herculaneum or Pompeii, but that is an aspect of the public transport to such places rather than something arising from staying in Portici.
