We stayed here after our late-night arrival in Catania, and it was a great decision. The location is perfect — just a 10-minute walk from the airport. It took us a moment to find the entrance, but check-in was easy thanks to their online system.
The interior had a unique and interesting design, definitely not your average B&B. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and fully equipped. We really appreciated the small touches — there was food waiting for us for a late dinner or early breakfast, and a coffee machine to start the morning right.
Communication with the host was great — she was helpful and kind throughout. Overall, it’s a great stop for travelers flying in or out of Catania

Our flight was cancelled. This was very comfortable room on perfect location near airport to spend 2 more days in Catania. I made a reservation on airport, got the mail with code to go in. And we were in our cooled room in less than 15 minutes from reservation, se didn't have to wait anyone ...

Lovely Hotel, Spotless and well appointed. Very comofy double bed and good size bathroom with Walk in Shower. Love the little touches like USB port in wall for phone charging. Room #2 has a large Balcony for having your morning coffee, with a view of Mt Etna. Great receiption team (thanks Martin). 5 minutes easy walk from Airport Terminal, and they accomodiated our 1am arrival. Car Rental pickup /dropoff was 2 mins walk away. Highly recommend this hotel.

The place is newly renovated, everything is immaculate and modern.
15 min walk from the airport and easy to find.
Comfortable beds, beautiful rooms and bathrooms, fully ecquiped kitchen. Every room has coffee and delicious breakfast snacks.
The access to the building
and each room is easy and modern.
The owner was very responsive and helpful with anu question we had.
He also accommodated us even if we arrived after 22:00 and we could switch to the King room, as I had booked the double room by mistake.
There is a mini mercato and a pizzeria within 5 minutes walk.
We recommend this place.
Thanks

Everything! Is just magnificent if you need to stay close to the airport and/or rent a car to drive throughout the island. The room, the breakfast, the treats given to explore the island and the people… Thanks for everything!

The accommodation was well beyond our expectation. We booked to be close to the airport and didn't expect very much. However the apartment was comfortable and clean, parking was easy and there were a few facilities locally for food and drink.
The host was really helpful.

Basic but did what I'd expect.
Proximity to the beach club was great.
Le Dune Sicily Hotel is only 2 km away from the city centre of Catania. It lies in an enchanting place between the golden sand of "de La Plaia" beach and a beautiful small Maritime pine forest.

At the first glance, the streets and the buildings seem dark and dirty, but I would say that Catania is just not as photogenic as many other cities. The feeling changes once you get used to the dark (volcanic) stone it was built with; I am from Dalmatia (Croatia) and I am used to the white marble we have so Catania seemed weird and even ugly at first. But give it time! My plan was to use Catania just as a base for my visit to Etna craters (I strongly recommend), so I did not expect anything from the city itself, I stayed for a very short time and missed a chance to visit everything it offers, but I think that was a mistake and that I might come back! Visited both Greek and Roman theatre, had some cannoli. The airport is very close to the city, don't miss visiting gorgeous Taormina while you are in Catania!!! (And far less gorgeous and messy Siracusa and its stunning Greek theatre and Archeological museum).

Its a nice calm area close to Catania.
Its a nice calm area close to Catania. Its much cleaner than other towns or Catania itself. Usually the garbage is lying around everywhere next to the roads, highways etc. but in Misterbianco it seemed a bit better.
When you drive towards Misterbianco you would think that it will be as trashy as the surrounding areas but thank god no. There are couple of pizzerias and bars at a very affordable price.

This is a small town on the way to Mt Etna.
This is a small town on the way to Mt Etna. We stayed here and were pleasantly surprised to find so many culinary gems!!! There are at least two exquisite cafes serving Sicilian delights that were top notch. There is also a fantastic sushi restaurant and seafood restaurant. We had local friends as a guide so they really showed us around to the best kept secrets of the area!! We can’t wait to visit again!

Host were lovely, location wasn't great for finding something to eat. Room was located in basement, lacking some modern facilities, cooker used bottled gas. Room was large and you could see that it could sleep 4 or more people, with at least 3 sofa beds in place as well as the double bed.

Aci Castello (AC) is located a 15 minute drive from central Catania and therefore is out of the fray, as we say. The AC promenade has stunning scenery and south of AC is home to many lidos i.e., beach resorts. AC is close to Catania City Center, Mt. Etna and Taormina, three must-see attractions. You will need to rent a car or motor scooter as there looked to be very little public transportation in the AC area.

Breakfasts at Pasticceria Dolce Trinacria were amazing, the Coop at the Parco Commerciale Le Zagare is very large with in-store bakery. Lidl's also pretty good. Walking is OK, but one or two roads don't have paths, so care is needed.

If you are looking for an area that is less touched by tourism but still with plenty of facilities in resort, you can not go wrong. Public transport can take you into Catania (about 40 mins) for historical visit and choice of shopping experiences, but the long flat promenade, excellent restaurants. We dinned mostly at Pellegrino Pizzeria as the stay are so friendly, very good food and very reasonable prices. Walking between AciTrezza and AciCastello is very easy for a change of scenery and there are wide choices of boat trips from the harbour. There are also several diving companies for those looking to go under the water rather than view it on top.

Catania was a bit surprising, and not in the best way.
Catania was a bit surprising, and not in the best way. Compared to other Italian cities I’ve visited, the city lacks cleanliness and in some places has an unpleasant smell. In many cafés, the waiters speak English poorly, but everything can be worked out. People are friendly. If you choose a good place to stay, you can walk to many spots. There are both paid and free beaches; we chose a paid one for comfort (sunbeds). It’s convenient to travel to Syracuse or Taormina by bus. I would recommend staying for 1–2 days and then continuing to explore other parts of Sicily.

Beautiful Sicilian town experience.
Beautiful Sicilian town experience. Views of Mount Etna and the lowlands are great from the city. The classic churches are not to be missed. The parking situation on the street is scary and the roads need improvement. Not a place to have an SUV.
