Hospitality of the staff was superb, very helpful, warm and friendly. They Waited for us for a late check in. Breakfast is full of delicious things, including fresh seasonal fruit, homemade cakes, etc.
Air con was very appreciated. There are restaurants nearby, one within 7’ walk, open till late, which is handy.
The rooms are newly renovated.
Great value for money.

All the staff were fantastic and fall over themselves to please . The vast majority of guests at the hotel are Italian and this makes the experience more authentic.

Our stay at Elimar villa & pool was absolutely fantastic. The town itself has quite limited amount of tourist destinations to offer, but stopping by Eucherio's (the host) is an experience in itself.
The villa is 10/10, very nice to be able to vary with a pool and super nice beach (one of the best along the coast) and is about 50m below the house. The apartments are exactly what you would expect from the pictures and the view is amazing. We stayed in the smallest room with the smallest balcony but i can imagine how good the other apartments are which have gigantic terraces!
However, the superstar of the entire stay was Eucherio. Never encountered such a service minded / helpful person. We arrived quite late by train and hadn't had lunch. As the villa currently does not serve food other than breakfast, Eucherio offered to go and buy food for us at base purchase price, which also was a great restaurant , incredibly appreciated.
I also asked Eucherio to fix a flower bouquet to surprise my girl. Apparently, he is a hobby florist in his spare time, so he put together his own, which you can see in the picture, incredibly beautiful! He had also prepared champagne and a love letter!
During day 2 I got sunstroke in Crotone city and felt really bad, i then got a text from Eucherio that he could pick us up for free so we could get home faster. Incredibly thoughtful!
Eucherio even offered to drive us to the station at checkout even though we didn't ask, which simplified our onward journey along the coast!

Nobody speaks English and at restaurants you have to decide and eat fast. No warm welcome for tourists, they don't care.
We only recomnand restaurant Gambero Rosso at the beach and restaurant In, very welcoming.

There is one thing to see and it is spectacular - the castle on its own islet with a causeway. Eat at the Aragonese opposite for good food, great music and the best view. There are other places but none were open on a Tuesday in late October. The seafront is easy to walk around, but there is nothing remarkable about the rest of the town. The castle is breathtaking at night when it is floodlit, there are parks for walking and taking photographs, the beach looks nice (but I did not have time) and there is a lot of fishing activity. It's a quiet town with hospitable people - a charming lady saw me looking lost and helped me find the Raggio di Sole. Unless you are a fisherman, a one night stay is enough.

The location was idyllic and the facilities regards restaurants, bars etc. were excellent. Crotone is an all round beautiful spot and we would recommend it to all travellers.
The very best thing about Crotone are the hosts at Palazzotto, they were incredibly obliging and friendly, we have travelled a lot worldwide but Rossana and her husband were superb and quite exceptional. It was really worth the travel all the way from Australia. We would go back there at the very first opportunity.
Kind regards,
Winston and Mary.

Honestly, at first, I did not like Crotone.
Honestly, at first, I did not like Crotone. My first two days were difficult but also a learning experience. Crotone does not receive many American tourists, especially single female travelers, and embarrassingly, I cannot speak Italian-even though I do try. I struggled the first two days and in my struggle was shooed out of two restaurants. However, my struggle apparently endeared me to other eateries and Crotone grew on me quickly. Crotone is an undiscovered gem. There is a mix of ancient history, Castello Carol V which was built in 840 A.D.and modern apartment buildings. It is a place where the sea takes center stage. Beach clubs dot the coastline with their sorbet-colored umbrellas and restaurants serve seafood so fresh you can taste the ocean. Oleander blooms along the walkways and bougainvillea spills over whitewashed walls while cactus and succulents grow in terracotta pots. Crotone is a place your heart is happy to find. It is not over commercialized. Crotone is genuine and confident in who she is-as are the people. The people are hardworking, genuine, kind, and passionate. Crotone is a jewel waiting to be placed in a crown and until the rest of the world discovers this rare jewel, I will happily return again and again.
