A good location for a relaxing stay in Vopnafjörður, Ásbrandsstadir Cottages is a holiday home surrounded by views of the lake. Jón is a very friendly and talkative host, gladly sharing information about the region, Iceland etc. with guests. The room was small but more than suffucient, the facilities, kitchen and wash room were everything we needed.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms are big and comfortable, the beds were really really comfortable! The owner is such a nice and friendly gentleman. What a pleasure it was to meet him! The kitchen is nice and big and you can use anything you need. In the fridge was everything you need for breakfast. We would absolutely recommend this lodge to anybody!

Wonderful peaceful place , spacious kitchen, everything clean and the host is very friendly-we love her dog Aska😊 We have stayed only one night but hope we will come again when the season for riding starts

This place was so cute and cozy and the perfect place for our family of 4. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen amenities were great! The host was super sweet and friendly and warned us about road conditions. She was flexible with timing as well.

Featuring a hot tub, Stóri-Bakki Guesthouse-with hot tub is situated in Egilsstadir. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. We came too late to that overnight place. All the orhers were already sleeping. The hot tube after long drive would have been nice, but we didn't won't to disturbe others. I liked the horse pictures in the livingroom and the originel way that the kitchen was painted and dekorated.

Such a cute little cabin and felt more spacious than the photos looked! We saw the northern lights going outside to round the back and looking north, and the owner was very sweet and attentive going out of her way to help our comfort and bring some extra pillows as we struggle to sleep with only one so that was very kind and it was very windy, it was very snowy around but the roads were manageable with 4x4 and lovely views around, good shower good firm beds, nice bedding, great mini fridge and freezer option good oven/ hob, kitchen was good with lots of utensils to use, very warm and cosy and peaceful and private, we liked having a tv, it has smart access too, WiFi was great, the supermarket closes at 7pm bear this in mind as we didn’t 😅

We can't say enough about the cottage. We stayed for 4 nights, but would love to have stayed longer. It was so peaceful and quiet with a stunning view. The cabin itself was spacious compared to the many other cabins we have stayed in, and it was meticulously clean. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a grill that was easy to use. The beds were comfortable, and the bedroom had blackout shades, which are important during the summer months. Our host was very communicative and helpful. We'd absolutely stay here again.
