A good location for a relaxing stay in Vopnafjörður, Ásbrandsstadir Cottages is a holiday home surrounded by views of the lake. The hostess was lovely and the location stunning. There are laundry facilities (we didn't have time to check them out or use them), a playground, two beautiful farm dogs and everything is well spaced out so you don't hear other guests.

Set in Sleðbrjótur in the East Iceland region, Fishing Lodge Hálsakot offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a sauna. Very quiet area. The owner let us use the kitchen to make coffee and cook our food. This was helpful during our stay.

At the hostel the rooms include a shared bathroom with a shower. what a great place. a nice old house in the middle of nowhere. a family friendly hostel with travelers from all over the world. there are horses and sheep on the farm and the kids had a great time playing with them. the way to the hostel is beautiful and we saw a bunch of seals. nice well equipped kitchen. nice eating area with a view of the farm. we really loved it and the kids voted it the best place we stayed at in Iceland haha

This place was so cute and cozy and the perfect place for our family of 4. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen amenities were great! The host was super sweet and friendly and warned us about road conditions. She was flexible with timing as well.

Cottage in the middle of nowhere, nice connection to nature all around, peace and quiet (apart from the elements, mainly wind). Extremely good views and good chances to see the northern lights when the sky is clear! Well equipped, quite clean but a bit older in terms of furniture. Very nicely decorated though, cozy and very warm inside. Hot tubs are the icing on the cake! Perfect getaway from touristy locations on iceland.

Such a cute little cabin and felt more spacious than the photos looked! We saw the northern lights going outside to round the back and looking north, and the owner was very sweet and attentive going out of her way to help our comfort and bring some extra pillows as we struggle to sleep with only one so that was very kind and it was very windy, it was very snowy around but the roads were manageable with 4x4 and lovely views around, good shower good firm beds, nice bedding, great mini fridge and freezer option good oven/ hob, kitchen was good with lots of utensils to use, very warm and cosy and peaceful and private, we liked having a tv, it has smart access too, WiFi was great, the supermarket closes at 7pm bear this in mind as we didn’t 😅

We can't say enough about the cottage. We stayed for 4 nights, but would love to have stayed longer. It was so peaceful and quiet with a stunning view. The cabin itself was spacious compared to the many other cabins we have stayed in, and it was meticulously clean. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a grill that was easy to use. The beds were comfortable, and the bedroom had blackout shades, which are important during the summer months. Our host was very communicative and helpful. We'd absolutely stay here again.

The house in the sleepy, remote village is one of the few accommodations in the area offering all amenities (including a washer and dryer) and the comfort of staying alone. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Overall, the house possesses some continental European flair, which feels nice.
