Distant and tranquil location, real old style house. Read the description and you will not have a reason of writing negative reviews like “this is not what I have expected”. The owner is very generous and welcoming, and the accommodation was just as described. I would stay again if I end up in this village on my next Iceland trips.

Set in Kópasker and only 36 km from Jokulsargljufur, Melar Guesthouse offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. A hot tub is available for guests. Absolutely lovely and wonderful stay. Best views, nice decorations and also very kind host. The hot tubs are a great plus, too. I'd definitely come again and will recommend this little oasis to everyone I know that travels north. The area is totally underrated and there are a lot of nice things to see. You can get some groceries in Asbyrgi or Thorshöfn if you come from the other direction. The house is equipped with everthing one might need :).

Located in Skinnastadir, Dettifoss Guesthouse is 25 km north of Dettifoss Waterfall. It offers simple, modern rooms with shared bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. Kitchen fully equipped, location in the middle of nowhere but it was the thing we came for, its only building with no other in close surrounding.Room was cosy, toilet/shower new with ground heating.I would come again

Situated in Garður in the North Iceland region, Nordic Natura features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. We loved our stay at Nordic Natura. The cabin was very cozy and well equipped, there was nothing we missed. The views of the canyon next to it were also stunning. The owner welcomed us with a little gift and made sure that everything is fine doing our stay. On our first night we even got an amazing display of the northern lights. Overall it is the perfect stay if you want to explorer the north of Iceland, I.e. Husavik, Asbyrgi, Dettifoss…
