We were there in October and drove through a blizzard (literally) and got there a little late so we didn’t see anyone but a cute little sticky with a room key with our name. The shared kitchen had everything needed to cook a nice meal from the grocery store just 1/2 mile away. We had room 4 which had a great picture window where we did see northern lights. Now it is a converted cow shed so not a typical hotel so go with mindset of a unique Iceland experience.

Located in a historic house in central Húsavík, Árból Guesthouse offers free parking and free WiFi access. Whale watching trips depart from Húsavik Port, only a 5-minute walk away. The house is so cozy, rooms and bathrooms very clean. Located perfectly a walking distance from harbor. The owner was very nice also. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
