I had an early morning flight so used the room to get a few hours sleep beforehand and somewhere to leave my stuff for the afternoon while I explored Trivandrum. Owner organised a rickshaw to the airport for me but given it took less than 5 mins to get there it was overpriced. But I was pleased to have it arranged. I realise I could have stayed closer to the sights and paid the same to get to the airport. I felt safe at the hotel.

They refused to give me a room and demanded for extra 750rs.
They refused to give me a room and demanded for extra 750rs. When i spoke with oyo customer care he denied this fact and straight away said the rooms are full. We had to wait in the afternoon just to hear the rooms are full. No one checked i front of me. May be some ghosts checked in during that time. I repeat stay away from this damned place. Check other places for stay. Dont trust any reviews given on oyo app. Check google they are filled with negative reviews

Trivandrum is an excellent city overall. Nice eateries, a lot of culture and tourist attractions. Poovar, ponmudi and lots of museums, temples etc for the inclined. I love the tasty food at the many renowned eateries In Trivandrum, there are options for everyone. Shree Arul Jyothi is a must try for breakfast, Mothers restaurant for the traditional Kerala sadhya for lunch, Coffee at Shree Guruvayoorappan hotel and Asad star for its delicious biriyani. You People are basically very nice, they can be a bit loud but very warm. If you want to drive yourself and you are new here, you wouldn’t enjoy much. Roads are very narrow, even main roads. Parking is non-existent. Not at all pedestrian friendly, drivers are alien to the concept of zebra crossing and priority for pedestrians, they even bloody honk at you if you are on a zebra crossing. Police turns a blind eye to all the parking on pedestrian walkways.

Do NOT prefer to book this property. They did not give me the room which I booked and they allotted it to others.They asked to pay extra money for bigger rooms. NO reception, No lights in front, no parking, remote location. VERY BAD :(

For a capital city, this was more of a large town.
For a capital city, this was more of a large town. Friendly, helpful and pleasant people. The roads are quite good and the town/streets clean. Traveling around the city and to Kovalam is best done by autorickshaw as there are plenty and available at short notice. Taxi aggregators (Ola & Uber) are available but are not easily available with long wait times.

Horrible services from every end. Was in the road from 9.00 pm to 11.00 pm and nothing happened from Top Parven and OYO customer care. Never ever depend anyone. They have nothing to loose, but only I lost the time, respect and money

The city has a good balance of tradition and modernity, town-ness and urbanisation. Trivandrum has a intimate scale that will appeal to people from large cities, where you can get to one end of the city to another in under an hour. Main roads are just rightly sized, pretty organised and traffic are disciplined compared to most cities in the country. The city is also super clean and tree lined in most parts of central area. I also loved that the city has a good visual character and a good design sensibility - buildings, signages, hoardings, et al.
