2) Vrindavan Gardens is BADLY in need of maintenance
3) The Holy Father didn't ask me to take off my shoes in the Cistine chapel or anywhere in the Vatican SO why should a bunch of his priests do that at one of his cathedrals (St Philomina's) ? Did'nt go in,
Was much more impressed with the beautifully curated Payana Car Museum in Srirangapatna and the Bonsai garden and the Sukhvana parrot Aviary in Mysuru

It is a lovely location ,if you like a very peaceful and scenic property. Be prepared to eat only at the hotel as you don't have many choices around of other restaurants.
Though the property says parking is free, there is an extortionst toll booth which collects 50 bucks for parking about 2 km before the property.

Mysore attractions are well maintained - Palace, Zoo, University Garden and Lake, Brindavan Gardens, Chamunda Temple are a must visit. I wish there were better explanations / directions at the Palace and Brindavan Gardens for Tourists. The Aquarium is a let down - if you've visited other aquariums. Can be avoided.
