neither he could see the special request. he alloted me a room which was shanty and toilet seat was not there. when i protested the reception manager started shouting on me. i had to tell him that i am a services officer of 1988 batch from govt of india. and then he relented. No water no towel was given. very very bad.

Finding a place to stay in Kanpur can be tough. It's hard to find hotels that allow foreigners, and it's also difficult to find a long-term apartment.
However, the city itself is nice. It has a rich culture and offers interesting attractions. The people are friendly, which adds to the pleasant atmosphere. Despite the challenges with accommodation, Kanpur is still worth a visit if you're willing to put in the effort to find a place to stay.
