Stayed for less than 12 hours as we were transiting through Mumbai. Location was awesome. Maybe 5 minutes after you exit customs (would be super if a sign was added by the elevator). Took about 15 minutes for our room to be ready as we needed 2 twin beds. Room was simple and clean with all of the necessities we needed for our quick stop: Water, toothbrushes and toothpaste, a kettle, etc. The a/c was perfect and not noisy and the room was quiet. Breakfast was delicious and well exceeded our expectations. everyone was kind and helpful! And then to get to departures you take a few different elevators with some twists and turns - maybe 10 minutes if you have to ask for directions mid way.

Mumbai is a vibrant and bustling city, at times claustrophobic and not for the faint hearted. However, it is well a worth a visit and a unique experience. Fort in particular is a lovely area. It's easy to get by on the metro, with a new line being added that goes from the airport to the centre. Otherwise, uber is your best bet for an affordable taxi. The city is very loud and busy and there is not really a quieter area. But this is all part of the charm! We liked eating at anna idli and 100% veg thali restaurants. We also went to aram for a vada pav - must try in Mumbai!

The people are wonderful - if you want to feel like royalty, go to Mumbai! It's easy to get taxis at reasonable prices and everything is great value when compared to how much we pay for things in England.

I grew up in Mumbai.
I grew up in Mumbai. Lots of fond memories. Great city with great work culture, nice shopping, restaurants, reasonable weather. Infrastructure is a dampener but the Mumbai spirit is helpful, indomitable and never gives up. My favourite place in Mumbai is Bandra. It has glamour, the sea, lovely quaint Christian bungalows that builders have always been trying to acquire, lovely eating and drinking places, great bookshops, a super cool attitude and a generally friendly and helpful public.

Good and Bad.
Good and Bad. Wealth and poverty clearly evident but we only had one night at the hotel on our way home. Initially stayed further south when we arrived and were booked there for our last night by the travel agent which made no sense so booked this hotel via Booking.com and a great move on our part only 15mins from the airport.
