I happened to arrive during a celebration of some kind, and I was made to feel very welcome nonetheless. Very kind people, nice little house to stay in in a beautiful area, and if I'm around in the future I'll definitely stay again!

I like easy check-in and check-out. You do not need to meet in person staff. You can took keys alone at the place. It is clean anc comfy. You have your reserved car parking.

I visited for the Christmas market and it was very nice, I enjoyed the atmosphere, there weren't huge amounts of people and the lightshow was very spectacular on the main square on the Dzsámi. If you are looking for a nice Christmas market in Hungary outside of Budapest Pécs is an excellent choice.

Nice small town, everything is walking distance. I would recommend Harkany Thermal spa where the whole family will enjoy. And if you want a special experience, take a swim in the outside pool in wintertime 😊

Wonderful town in Hungary! Nice shops, good restaurants! There was a restaurant that I went to called Trabert Hof in the town of Feked , which is very close to Pec. I feel was one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The owner was super friendly and helpful with the food menu. Very cute town! Attended a ballet class for adults in Pec, which was great for stretching prior to walking the Christmas markets. You can walk anywhere in pec.

Harkany is a small quiet town and when we walked in the evening, some local restaurants (csarda) we saw on Google maps were closed (February). We tried to enter some restaurants at 20h and were told that the kitchen is closed at 18h. Everything is closed in this town in the evening. Funny, but the only way to find some food was to go to Spar supermarket and get some ready-to-go cooked food. Only another thing we found working in the evening was Tenkes Csarda, 6km drive by car. The local bakery on the main street has some local cakes, but the selection was very limited and was nothing special.

The Csontvary Museum, The Zsolnay Museum and the Vasarely Museum were real treats. The Cathedral and the Mosque now a Catholic Church are really impressive. We were there only for two days and we could not cram any more into them. There are so many more museums in Pecs and we could have filled two more days! The restaurant pizzeria L'Elefante makes an authentic Neapolitan pizza. We had a good latte and turos batyu in the Aranycipo coffee shop,

Well, what everybody will rather dislike is the current inflation and, consequently, rising prices, but this rise is not that huge. Harkany is an ideal place for relaxation, swimming, lying on the grass in the park where the pools are located, and doing nothing apart from enjoying your time there.
If you like the wine offered in the bar located next to the main entrance to the strandfurdo, visit the vinery - its owner is Gergen Birtok and you`ll find his shop in Siklos-Gyod, Jaro Peter ut.35. You can buy there wine on draft or in bottles.
