We had a lovely room with a view of the airport. The bed was super comfortable, there was a big tv with lots of channels, which was great as we both were feeling unwell. Good shower too. The airport is a stroll away. Downstairs there is a restaurant where we had a fresh tasting asian style tofu soup. Just what the dokter ordered.

Veces is an hour away from Budapest by public transport by bus and metro, but it is very good in terms of proximity to the airport. Nearby there is a central market with various shops and a Tesco, about 25 minutes on foot.

We were just passing by before heading to the airport and because many of the hotels were fully booked because of the New Year celebrations, we chose to stay here before heading to the airport in the morning. This was perfect place to stay within some 15 minutes driving distance to the airport rental car returns.

Rarely any true restaurant in Taksony (other than fast food) was open during late hours so we couldn't find a place to eat. And when we found one (Roro Falatozo) they didn't speek English. But the food was good.

Its a nice quite place.
Its a nice quite place. Little bit away from the bus connections that's good if you want peace and quite. Good to spent night to catch a flight next day. It will be great if a shuttle service available to and from airport. Taxi normally cost 10 Euros each way.
For amenities there is a small shop nearby and you can get to LIDL, Tesco etc. by 15mins walk. There was a local bakery on the main road which has bake fresh breads and coffee.

Four days in Budapest was the perfect amount of time to see some of the city’s main attractions without feeling rushed. I started with the Szechenyi spa, with the hope that the warm pools and saunas would help with jet lag. I felt refreshed after the visit! I most enjoyed a morning walk along the Danube from the Parliament building down to Central Market Hall, which had a nice array of food and products. The Shoes on the Danube Bank was a moving memorial.
My other highlights from Budapest were the Christmas Market at St. Stephen’s Basilica, Szimpla Kert, Hungarikum Bisztró, Hospital in the Rock, Fisherman’s Bastion, and the House of Terror museum.

A big shopping mall is walkable from the hotel if you need to buy anything. It's a cinch for anyone who travels by air and has to walk all those concourses and gates. The hotel restaurant menu is quite good. The Superfood Salad is amazing. The airport shuttle is so convenient and quick.

Beautiful city, but the offer on Advent houses is overpriced. Tropical aquarium-house "Tropicarium" in the shopping center Campona, a great location for shopping and interesting for children.
