Grand Coastal Hotel looks as good as the pictures and more. We had a beautiful room, and loved using the pool. The food was exceptional and by far the best we had in Guyana. We did not need to leave the accommodation for our entire stay as a result, which can be nice after the busyness and intensity of Georgetown. The manager was quick to respond to any issues we had, and allowed us to stay late using the pool before we left, which we greatly appreciated.
Located in Georgetown, Apex boutique apartments offers accommodation with a balcony. There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay.

had a late check-in 11pm. there was someone there to greet me. apartment had everything I needed. lady at reception offered to change money and ordered Mr taxis when I needed them.

It depends on what you're looking for, or reason for your trip. It's not a beach city. This time I was there along with other relatives for a family celebration. There are other areas in Guyana that are beautiful to visit. I would advise anyone, depending on their purpose for the trip e.g. see eco life, to do their research, watch some videos on line to get an idea of what to expect.

It rained a lot and movement was curtailed.
It rained a lot and movement was curtailed. However, went on a few taxi rides to the city. Very busy and traffic is absolutely heavy. OMG restaurant was great where the food was reasonable. Time was short so I was unable to see as much. However, many huge buildings and development in Georgetown and elsewhere. Lots of progress since I left Guyana. Thanks.
