The property was new and clean Our host Litsa was amazing. She had the fridge stocked with more than just breakfast items and when she found out we originated from the village she brought us goodies each morning and afternoon. The consummate host.
Although it was hot, the house was surprisingly cool.

Such a lovely house - it was huge, plenty of room for 10 of us. It was sparkling clean. We loved the little details - the host left us some jam and cereal for breakfast. We really felt at home. Such a peaceful location too

This is our second time in this hotel and I am sure if we travel in Kastoria again we will choose this hotel. Room is spotlessly clean and with all amenities you need. There is private parking in front of the hotel with enough parking places. We checked-out very early but owners prepared us some breakfast boxes with variety of food. They were very polite and helpful. Everything was great and I would recommend this hotel.

Great place! Nice and quiet, beautifully decorated, has everything a traveler might need. Perfect for families or groups of friends. It was better than expected.The swimming pool was very clean and as it was not crowded I enjoyed it a lot.The room,staff,breakfast were fine for us as well as the room facilities.We visited late August,so it was quiet.The garden ,so well cared and enjoying a coffee under the trees is an experience.

Things to do - Boat trip around the lake and the caves are lovely and so was walking around the town and seeing the old buildings. The drive around the lake was wonderful and the trees formed a canopy so also very cool. You can also walk the whole route but might take a couple of hours and no designated pavement.
We climbed the mountain path behind the monastery, but be warned it is steep and hard work in places, but the views are amazing. However, if you want the same views, drive up the road to the hospital and keep going as when I arrived after my 45 minute climb I can upon the road and it will take you to the peak (I think).
Parts of the town are quite hilly and walking shoes or trainers needed in these parts, but you can probably avoid these areas if you wanted to.

Kastoria on the lake is very scenic.
Kastoria on the lake is very scenic. If you want to see a different view of Greeece away from the intensity of Athens I would recommend visiting Kastoria. We also took the opportunity to visit Korce, Albania which we thoroughly enjoyed.
