What a beautiful 360 degree view of the whole mountain range from the top floor of this lovely clean home. Kelly the host went out of her way to make us feel welcome with fresh fruit and extra supplies of water and coffee in the morning. She gave us guidance for the next few days of our journey which took us to amazing little coastal towns, including swimming spots and an ancient stone town in the hills for dinner.

What a lovely hotel this is. Everything feels very fresh, clean and well cared for.. Comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, very clean. The staff at this hotel are very welcoming and friendly as well. Excellent breakfast with a lot of variety and great coffee. I'll definitely stay here again. And the town is a great spot for exploring the area and it isn't touristy at all!

Kalamata is a well organized city with parks in the middle of downtown. Great for families with young children. Several cultural events take place i.e. we attended a documentary festival.
The part of the city by the sea has its own life.
During the olive picking period, it attracts many of the olive grove owners, who do not necessarily reside in Kalamata.
The city is very friendly to visitors.Public parking in the middle of the city provides convenient parking.

It is in the ideal location for many excursions in the surrounding area, all the main tourist attractions are within 45-60 mins slow drive

Kalamata is a working city not just a tourist location.
Kalamata is a working city not just a tourist location. It is a great place to discover the Peloponnese from if one does not mind driving. The city's farmers' market was wonderful (Wednesdays and Saturdays).
It has a lot of great restaurants along the beach and the harbor. Walking around Old Town is a great place to spend a morning.

Kalamata is a wonderful, modern greek city. It has a decent population, nice long beach friendly for pedestrians and cyclists. There are also other beaches and seanic spots within an hour of Kalamata. There are ancient historic cites nearby, such as the nearby ancient city of Messene. The city blends a traditional feel in its Old Town, which climbs a castle hill, with modern infrastructure, and hosts cultural events like the annual Dance Festival. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, from exploring ruins and museums to water sports, hiking, and enjoying the local gastronomy.
