Definitely, The best choice we could have made! The place was gorgeous we felt like in a movie and the price was pretty good for what they offer, every detail was so beautiful, we had everything we needed, breakfast was delicious and taken to our place in the morning, they sell food and it’s also delicious. The place is like 10 minutes walking to the bus station that takes you to fira. It is very calm and quiet which makes it better. We would definitely will go back again, lovely place and the staff was extremely nice. On our last day we were leaving early and couldn’t have breakfast as it starts serving at 8 am but the day before I ordered a sandwich from them for an extra charge and pack it for breakfast and was amazing.

Firostefani is close enough to Fira that you can't tell the difference really. Santorini in general is very touristy even in October. Too many tourists! Very much a tourist trap. Worth seeing the crazy cliff side architecture of Fira and Oia on a short stay but not really somewhere I will return to, but other people love it. Do the hike from Fira to Oia (lots of ups and downs though) for amazing views of the volcanic crater that created Santorini. Stay here or anywhere close to Fira though since all the very inexpensive Metro buses terminate in Fira and the island is tiny so you can do easy trips from the bus terminal to all parts of the island and there is really no need to rent a car.
Loved Megalochori: little beautiful village with its colorful houses, churches and little back alley streets. It was as if I was walking in a big painting or Theatre set. Met many friendly people; visited cozy restaurants and enjoyed tasty meals. Hope to visit many more times in future!
we loved Monalithos ,we were at the beach every day then up to the restaurant t for beautiful salad and cold beer and some greek fried tomatoes in herbs ,enjoy lunch read and have a swim and go walking along path rocks very safe and up at five shower and bus into Fira enjoy an amazing evening sundowner absolutely magnificent have a lovely cocktail on one of the many fabulous bars overlooking the sea pure magic then head for some fab greek food what a place .simply life dosent get better .loved it
We loved our accommodation at thousand stars and highly recommend it. Took a private highlight tour of the island which was amazing. Negatives on Kamari include swimming at the beach which was very hazardous when entering and leaving the water due to the lava levels underfoot. Also, being constantly hassled by the same people to take a massage.
Pyrgos is a lovely traditional Greek village with very friendly locals. It gets busy at certain times when the cruise tours visit. A steep walk up to the castle & church is worth it for the amazing views. The little supermarket sells most things you would need. We ate at Mythos Grill in the village, lovely food at a reasonable price and good sized portions
We spent two weeks on the island in Fira, We stayed one week on the east side and one week on the west side. The east side of the island is quieter. You need to walk to shops and restaurants - uphill, so lots of cardio! We stayed at Hill Suites. A lovely, relaxing and private accommodation with a perfect lanai breakfast every morning. Thomas, the manager was an excellent host! The second week we spent on the caldera side. Very busy!!!! Shops and restaurants surround you. No cars here. Streets are lovely, narrow, winding paths leading you from one surprise to another. Everywhere the views are stunning! The best resource on the island is the bus terminal located in Fira. This terminal is a hub and spoke terminal. All buses leave and return to this terminal each trip. You can go anywhere for 2 euros one way. An excellent way to see the island! The buses run frequently so if you miss one, don't worry there will be another shortly. They also service the airport! Across the street from the bus depot is the Museum. A must see after you have visited the excavations at Akrotiri at the south end of the island. Really, find yourself a spot to sit and enjoy a beverage while taking in the view and watching the activities around you. Remember to breathe. Relax. Enjoy.
