We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The apartment is very tastefully furnished with everything you need and has been freshly renovated. Ideally located in the immediate vicinity of the Icefjord Centre and the walks around Ilulissat. The highlight was the boat trip with Claus. He told us a lot about the wonderful surroundings on land and on the water. We had magical moments between the icebergs. And we also saw whales.

We rented apartments 2 & 3 for a family trip. Klaus was a brilliant host, quick to answer questions ahead of arrival. He arranged to collect us from the airport which also made check-in a breeze. He shared advice for what to see and guidance for the very flexible schedule for National Day. Our return flight was delayed and he kindly allowed us to stay in the apartment until our leaving time and arranged our transfer to the airport.
Location was great. 10min walk to the Icefjord Center, 10min to supermarkets and shops. Walking distance to all sites around Ilulissat. We didn't have a car but parking was always available in front.
Apartment 3 was perfect for our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and large open living area were perfect for meals and planning our day. It was warm on the cool days, and black out blinds helped us sleep during the midnight sun. Very comfortable adjustable bed, good warm shower. From this upstairs apartment you could see icebergs drifting across the bay. Lovely stay.

Great location. amazing view, close to the store, and close to path to the icefjord.. the villa is cozy, very comfortable and clean. The owner is the most helpfull person ever, both before you arrive and while you on place. Anders is almost like a really good consierge 😀.

Mike went above and beyond in his communication to ensure we had the most comfortable stay, even booking our taxis for us whenever needed as we were without a working SIM. We were so blessed to have front row seats to the northern lights from the house! It felt like a movie.

It is likely that during Disco bay icefjiord experience...
It is likely that during Disco bay icefjiord experience you'll see the wales, so a separate trip to watch wales may not be needed. The icefiord remains the most impressive thing to see from a walking distance and also from a boat. Eqi glacier is nice, but less impressive and takes a long time to go there. Icefiord center is an interesting site to visit, as you'll pass the sledge dog keeping site along the way. Do not touch or try to intervene with digs, as this my end lethaly for... them. I found the place terrible for dogs... and any animals in general, as they are kept on chain. However, it is par of the culture and that's something interesting to see.

There are plenty of companies to book boat tours, whale...
There are plenty of companies to book boat tours, whale watching etc, but we felt inclined to go with the local tour operators, who deserve the business, and really do know so much about the area and how to respect the wildlife.
Getting around was easy, as it's a small town, taxis aplenty too.
We didn't eat out as we were self-catering. Two good supermarkets in the high street.
One gripe though is the amount of litter, sometimes the bins were overflowing. I would suggest a town litter pick occasion!

Ilullisat is absolutely worthy in a trip to Greenland.
Ilullisat is absolutely worthy in a trip to Greenland. We have never seen such huge icebers. There are good options to trail in the area (Yellow Trail is the easiest one although is not such easy as it may seen). You move everywhere walking although taxi is not an expensive option. "I love Ilullisat tours" offers very good boat tours. Hangout Bistro is a restaurant with good options for dinner or lunch.
