Spending Christmas at the Aurora Hut of Inuk Hostel was nothing short of extraordinary. I couldn’t have chosen a more special place to celebrate the holiday season. Despite the biting cold of Greenland, the Aurora Hut was incredibly warm and cozy, offering every modern convenience—WiFi, Bluetooth, power sockets, and a compact but functional toilet. The design is both practical and inviting, making it a perfect retreat. The owner, Gerth, made my stay even more memorable by personally showing me to my room. The warm welcome and thoughtful touches, like the Christmas decoration, added an extra layer of charm and friendliness to the experience. Despite it being Christmas, Gerth arranged for me to have breakfast every day, which just proves his exceptional hospitality. The Filipino crew at the reception were equally delightful—friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The highlight of my stay was witnessing the aurora borealis not once, but twice, from the comfort of my very own room. The transparent ceiling allowed me to marvel at this natural wonder without even stepping outside. It was pure magic, and truly one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had in a hotel. If you’re looking for a unique, cozy, and truly special place to stay in Greenland, the Inuk Hostel Aurora Hut is an absolute must. I will treasure this magical Christmas forever.

Beautiful area. Great view. I was alone in a 4 bedroom cabin, very nice, staff was great.

Large rooms, pristine condition. Well appointed with good facilities. Common area also superb, with cooking facilities, dining area, living room and TV. Two shower/toilet rooms shared between 4 rooms. Impeccably clean. Free wi-fi. 2x supermarkets and a fast-food place are within walking distance, closing around 22:00.

The manager and cleaning staff were exceptional. The manager even went to the hospital to get me mobility chair because mine got lost in the flights. He should be paid a bonus!!!!lol

A beautiful hostel in the heart of Nuuk close to great eating places, the museum (one of the best I’ve ever visited), Nuuk Centre and the harbour. The hostel is tastefully decorated with a lovely dining area and spaces and lounges to relax. The room was really spacious with great views from the windows. While we were there in the beautiful summer it was still quite cool with temperatures between 2-4 but the entire hostel was so cosy and warm. The kitchen was excellent with an amazing range of cookware, two oven’s and lots of bench space. There was a well fitted laundry and two bathrooms, one with a bath that was so lovely after a days outing in and around Nuuk.

The Price is Right. Cheapest around. Smack bang in the middle of town. Our upstairs room was large and comfy. Quiet. There were other guests around but didn't really see them. Clean. Kitchen had a couple of pots, microwave and some plates etc. An unclean appliance was dealt with quickly. We booked at NUUK airport and was quickly accepted. Good comms.
