Room was excellent, almost like a flat than a hotel room and was perfect for my family (2 adults, a 3 year old and a 1 year old) - Cot was clean and a good size. At dinner, the night we stayed, my son, unfortunately, projectile vomited and the staff were so nice and helpful as I got the area cleaned up and my wife took the kids back to the room. They put tin foil over my wife's unfinished meal so I could take it up to her when the wreckage had been cleared. The play area downstairs was also excellent, full of toys and TVs for the kids to watch, my wife and I read our books while the kids ran around playing.

The hotel had plenty of parking spaces and was very busy. The staff were very helpful, bedrooms/bathrooms were modern, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful. There were other facilities at the hotel not used this time but and the location was fantastic for us and we will definitely be returning!

Eastleigh is nice for an evening walk. We used the property as a starting point to travel to nearby locations by train (train station opposite of the property) or by car with friends (car park next to the train station). One stop from the airport; no noise from air traffic at all.

It’s the first time we’ve been to Botley and we thought it was a lovely little village. We would definitely visit there again, especially in the summer. We couldn’t really find anything we didn’t like about it. Otters green was only a five minute walk away

There was a pub called the Old Ship next door to where we were staying which had a great selection of food and drink, there were several places to eat and drink within walking distance. Harper's ( breakfast - two full English for £16) the Jolly Sailor and the Seahorse. There is a lovely walk along the river to Riverside social which was a nice place to eat . We walked up to the Brick museum which was an interesting morning, £7 each ( or £8 each with a charity donation)

We were disappointed that the pier ferry wasn't working but the pier and the train were very interesting - lots of plaques on the pier with interesting information and lots of inscriptions on the planks on the pier.
The town was very nice - a surprising number of different shops in such a small area.
The town centre and pier within very easy walking distance from the Boathouse hotel. Good meals served there with a good selection at reasonable prices.

Eastleigh is an area with beautiful quaint English towns and villages to visit.
There are numerous small shops/businesses and plenty restaurants and cafes to enjoy.
It is also the perfect location for visiting Southampton ad the New Hampshire Forest.

Great pub area within walking distance.
You can walk to the port area from the hotel where we boarded our ship.
We didn’t walk with our luggage but booked an Uber and arrived to the shop I. Less than 10 minutes!

In a nutshell, Otters Green was one of the best b & b's we have stayed in. A comfortable and cosy room, with everything we needed. We could not fault it in any way. The breakfast was tasty and varied, much more than we expected for a continental breakfast. We would recommend the Dolphin pub in Botley for a warm welcome and excellent food.

Accomodation was functional but not spacious.
Accomodation was functional but not spacious. Adjacent pub was olde world. Proper beer and food, lots of space inside and out, helpful staff. One of several pub areas is next to property but was not a problem (a distance from the pub) but we had our meal served there on one evening. Parking no prob as carpark large and can park outside front door.
Disclaimer: We stayed Monday to Friday AM. The weather was sunny and warm. I'm over 70. Enjoy good pub beer and grub...
I've already written a fuller review on the first page of this website(?). And some photos. Not sure why I need to do this again on this page....

Good location as bus stop close by hotel including New Forest hop on hop off bus. So much to see and do by car starting from Hythe. Pretty village to walk around although mainly charity shops or estate agencies. Hotel had plenty of information of places to go if visiting by car. Hythe is a good "stepping off" point for things to see and do.
