Hotels near Goodwood Aerodrome - QUG, Chichester

Lovely rural location surrounded by many pretty villages and within easy reach of the seaside. We visited West Wittering which was a great hit with the children, as was walking in the conservation area near by. In the surrounding areas there were plenty of lovely pubs with gardens suitable for families. A trip to Arundel Castle was a highlight! A delightful area with much to explore.

Easy to get to M&S foodhall and Sainsbury. Close enough to Chichester to avoid the traffic. A good base for Arundel Castle (a very good day out), and Chichester Harbour ( book in advance for Sunday lunch as it's very popular). The Gribble Inn would have been good walking distance, had it not burned down! There doesnt seem to be any food or drink places in Oving, which is a positive because it's a nice quiet village. But, a non- alcoholic journey for a night out.

Lovely city to spend a couple of nights. Ideal place to base yourself if you want to walk around Chichester harbour or get out into the South Downs. We enjoyed the venue offering Street Food on North Street. Mobile phone reception doesn't seem to have reached Chichester yet! At least not on our phones. You'll need good WiFi at your accommodation.

The house was very clean and tidy in and out. There were some toys at the living room that my kids really loved. Also a piano to play with. WiFi was working perfect. Finding some essentials including sunflower oil, washing up liquid, some sweets made us smile. Tissues, hand wash and clean towels were in both the toilets. Kitchen and dining facility were excellent including the oven, microwave and the equipments. On top of everything the garden was so beautiful and had a very good impression on us. Overall it’s been an excellent experience staying in this house.

The house was ideally positioned with easy access to main roads across the south coast of England. Easy to get to the ferry port in Portsmouth and to go to Brighton. Chichester is very close and has all types of cusine and is a nice city to visit for a day out. Lovely traditional high street shopping.

Chichester is a wonderful old city with Roman heritage. It's well worth a visit exploring the old city walls, parks, gardens and cathedral. You can shop and dine at various levels of luxury, and there are often markets or live music performances in the streets. Further afield, just a short distance outside the city, are Fishbourne Roman Palace and Chichester harbour, lovely places to visit to get a better feel for the area. 2/3 days in the city will give you a wonderful orientation, and if theatre is your thing, see what's on at Chichester Festival Theatre one night of your visit.
