This place is the best value accommodation in Shetland. I have no idea why the previous reviews are so poor. We are locals who had to have a stay over for a medical appointment, and the cabin is exactly what it looks like in the photos. There is no bedding- a fact that is made clear on the booking.com website and in the email we received from the park directly. A previous poster criticised there being no kettle. There is a kettle, located in the kitchenette area. There is no accommodation for 5 people available on Shetland at this price, so what you see is what you get. If you are after something 4 *, go and stay in the Lerwick Hotel for £300+ a night.

This is a modern, comfortable, clean and spacious apartment in a quiet neighbourhood of the town.
The citycenter (Esplanade, Commercial Street) is only a 10 min walk away. It has a private parking space nearby.
Wifi is excellent, the kitchen is well equipped.

A lovely base for some bracing walks around the lochs & voes with a excellent choice of buses too taking one to Lerwick & south to Sumburgh or North to the Northern Isles or the wonderful windswept wilderness of Eshaness, home to moonwalking Shetland ponies. You’ll have to ask your cab driver about that!

Fascinating center with so many beautiful alleyways.
Safe. Picturesque. Walkable.
Friendly people.
Many businesses open late and close early. Most restaurants open in the afternoon for a few hours.
Very windy.
Great and easy bus transport withing town or other parts of the isand.

Scalloway is a great wee place.
Scalloway is a great wee place. Stunning views and excellent coffee shops. Had breakfast in cafe - so helpful and lush food.
The shop, chemist, and cafe, views over the harbour and people friendly. Definitely worth visiting.

It has lots of walking paths and great view of the ocean. Close to lovely beach with white sand.
There is a little shop not far away from property.

Lerwick has so beautiful views.
Lerwick has so beautiful views. The town is a typical Scottish 1970s town.
We visited in Mid October and found many of the eating places to be closed for a holiday. Most of the shops are closed on a Monday and a Wednesday.
Lerwick was easy to park and walk around.

Shetland Islands in four days was not enough (especially as one day was very wet and we couldn't do much). Scalloway is a great base: easy to travel into Lerwick and to all parts of Mainland Shetland.

This was a great place to explore Shetland from. But important to have a hire car, to get to all the different sights, and booking restaurants in advance is important, even if it's just for the following night, although the takeaways were a great backup.
