The closest 4-star hotel to the arrival and departure terminals, The Novotel Birmingham Airport Terminal Building - NEC is just 1 minute's walk from Birmingham Airport complex. Arrived very late at night. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Bath plug didn't work and the person on duty moved us immediately to other room. So so kind. Thank you! You know who you are.

ibis budget Birmingham Airport Terminal Building - NEC is located within walking distance of the airport terminals, the NEC and the LG arena. This modern hotel has a 24-hour reception. The Ibis is right across the parking lot from BHX. I had a lot of luggage so I took a cab for ease, but with one suitcase less I could well have reached it by train :) Staff was great, I ended up adding late check out some twenty minutes before the original time because my travel plans changed and the front desk was very helpful with that. My room was on the 8th floor facing the sky shuttle, but I had no problem sleeping, and breakfast is served in a pretty generous time window (6:30 to 10) so even with a late start in the morning, I still had plenty of time to eat. The room was snug, but perfectly serviceable, and the facilities spotless.

Situated 3.9 km from NEC Birmingham, Tri-Star Hotel offers 3-star accommodation in Birmingham and has a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. We had a great stay at the hotel! Nigel was incredibly kind and helpful, he gave us directions to the city and assisted us with everything we needed. The breakfast was also excellent and very flexible with timing, which made our mornings much easier. Although the hotel is outside the airport, it's very close to the city centre. You can easily get there with just one bus, the X1, which only takes about 25 minutes and runs 24 hours a day. Super convenient and a great location overall. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

When we realised we might be a little late arriving we messaged Camilla and she was very helpful. As it happened we weren’t late but she had made provisions to let us access our rooms which was super. Our rooms were in converted stables, the beds were comfortable, showers hot and r the environment was nice and quiet. There were even horses in the stables that hadn’t been converted into bedrooms. Breakfast was exceptional and managed to satisfy two teenage boys.
more specifically Xclusive property on 34 White croft Road, Sheldon - It was a pleasant enough suburban area with plenty of restaurants. The property was only fair - clean enough but several things not working, poor lighting in Kitchen and no instructions for tv or oven. A good location for our reason - near the NEC, and adequate. Could use a tidy up outside full of weeks and bramble. We were grateful for off street parking. As it was for business reasons it was okay.
The charming village was a great place to stay for the course I was on. The digs were within a few hundred yards of the station to Birmingham, which was only 3 stops away and has a free car park. I would not have known, however, when I booked, that it was so readily accessible by train from the centre Birmingham. I think they should advertise that feature. I was busy on a course, and it was bitterly cold out, so I did not visit any tourist sites as I had no free time until the morning I left, when I took a quick and easy trip to the town centre by train to see the famous Museum of Art.......which was closed for a refurb! (Jan 2022) A good excuse to visit again!
The old town has changed beyond recognition. Empty shops except for charity shops and 'The Mall', The quality of goods on sale rather poor unless you shop in one of the Pound Shops, John Lewis or Apple. 30 years has impacted negatively on the old Town, M & S gone, House of Fraser, good manners all gone, litter in the streets, even the coffee shops had dirty tables, litter on the floor, sad. Excuse my sarcasm in the next question
Marston Green Hotel is 3* hotel that met my expectations. I stayed only one night, as next day I had to attend event and after that travelling back to home. The location of the hotel is nearby Birmingham International Station and it was within 5-10 mins by taxi. Overall I'm satisfied and happy with my accommodation for one night. Only I'm not sure if someone would like to book room for longer duration of stay. I find the place reasonable and excellent for short stay, but not any more. Also, I observed that the cleanness of the room wasn't the best expected. I noticed in the shower floor some dirt and dark spots same as the fossettes. They could be cleaned much better. Their free WiFi frankly speaking was better than in London, which pleasantly surprised me and I was able overnight to complete my task for next day event, which was appreciated. Unfortunately I'm not able to provide photos from inside as I deleted the two of them from the shower. I don't have any other photos from the surroundings as I went only for take away food in the evening to buy my dinner from the nearby restaurant and the weather this evening wasn't the best (light drizzle and damp/humidity from the season).
As a Hotel Manager myself. There should be no excuse for shortage of Stock. The Menu only had 5 Meals available as they did not have the items in From Ralking to the Morning Staff they were upset that the overnight staff did not do their job. This is all stuff Good management should be able to spot and resolve. The Staff looked Miserable and were not the best for politeness.
The hotel itself was remarkably clean. I had a very comfy bed, a big screened TV and it was right in the main walkway of Birmingham City center. A little noisy but what do you expect! I stayed here before an early morning flight. So it was very nice to be able to relax and watch shows before the stress of Birmingham Airport.
The apartment was clean and comfortable, as described. Good accommodation, good value for money and good location in the area of Birmingham Airport. Recommended.
