The hotel was excellent and the owner was brilliant. Carried my wife's heavy bag up the stairs for me and greeted us for breakfast in the morning. Gave us helpful advice on where to go and get a meal as we arrived late on a Bank Holiday and most places were closed for meals I would recommend this Hotel to everyone

Hands down the most beautiful property set in incredible surroundings. We met the host and their beautiful dogs briefly and they were so lovely. The coach house we staying in was done to a top spec, huge bath, bed and excellent kitchen facilities. We loved it so much there that we have already booked to come back later this year. Tranquility and comfort in spades.

Everything as described. Restful and near town centre (10 minutes) which is just what I wanted. The price of town centre hotels is £250/270 totally unaffordable. Jayne was pleasant and helpful.

The name is a little confusing - the property is well outside the village of that name, and we had a slight difficulty in locating it - we don't use satnav. Benson itself, being an operational RAF base, is of interest to plane spotters.....
The Croft itself is very pleasant - a crescent of very well to do houses about a mile and a quarter outside Nuffield village, on a quiet lane parallel to the Grims Dyke and Ridgeway. It appears to have changed its name; my 1" OS map shows it as Turners Croft.
Beautiful scenery, and lovely bird song in the morning; an excellent base for exploring the lower Chilterns, Thames Valley and National Trust properties. The house is about half a mile from the Ridgeway, making it an ideal base for walkers. There's a lot to see of historic interest, not least Nuffield village's connections with Lorn Nuffield, the founder of Morris and MG Cars.
We had meals at the Cherry Tree in Stoke Row, two National Trust properties and the George in Pangbourne; all good food and pleasant environs.

We used to live in the area so know it well.
It is a good location in between Henley and Oxford right beside the River Thames.
In the summer it has an outdoor pool right beside the river
There is a very good tandoori located close to the bridge. Food was very good and staff were attentive

Great location - close to the Cotswolds and Oxford, but better value accommodation. Lovely walk on the Thames path to Days lock.
Dorchester has 3 pubs/hotels in a small village - the best is the White Hart for food, but The George and Fleur-de-lys also serve great food.

We had a wonderful stay at Roselands.
We had a wonderful stay at Roselands. Amanda is a fantastic host, extremely welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. She even offered to bring us to a nearby restaurant, as we came on foot. The house is beautiful and located in nature. It is extremely peaceful. We had the best sleep. The accommodation is absolutely superb with a great bed, super clean bathroom, and lovely breakfast.
I highly recommend a visit.

Please NOTE.
Please NOTE. This is a review about the village - NOT my awful stay at the Clifton Hampden B&B "The Plough Inn".
Clifton Hampden is a beautiful village with lots of thatched cottages, a nice church, a fairly decent pub called the Barley Mow (food was good), with the Thames flowing through the village, and a very famous singer living there. It's 20 minutes from Oxford. If only it had a decent B&B.

Convenient for village centre and bus route to Oxford. Pretty village with good pubs, corner shop and farm cafe. Comfy bed and very clean. Terrible shower and noise in the evening from the pub downstairs. Pub garden needs a tidy up.

Overall the village is very pleasant and quite quiet.
Overall the village is very pleasant and quite quiet. The local pub is a destination Chef and Brewer pub with a good quality of food and is very easily walkable from Clinton Hampden, although the road is a little ‘frisky’ in the dark as it is narrow and has no footpath in places, especially over the narrow bridge. The view of the Thames is stunning and the Thames path is great for a stroll/walk.
