We had a really lovely time. The cottage was perfect for what we needed and although we did have a couple of problems with the electric these were dealt with incredibly quickly and didn't really go on to affect our time.

Have visited Vannes for many years because it is such a historic and vibrant city. However it is now much more difficult to park anywhere near the centre and it is unpleasant driving because of the many lights, roundabouts and arrogant pedestrians who step into the road at the last moment. We have driven on more than once without staying because of the traffic chaos.

Les Dames de Nages was amazing and the most wonderful restful stay. Philippe, the host, is a lovely man and very generous with his time, knowledge and makes your stay a true pleasure. The rooms are comfortable, well equipped and our dog was made as welcome as we were. A great base for cycling too. Breakfast was wonderful with different fresh breads and jams, pastries, local fruit and juices. The pool and hot tub were the icing on an already wonderful slice of French cake. Location is perfect - about 15-20 mins from most of what you want to see in the area. Highly recommended.

Modern, airy, open floor plan & well equipped. Nice views in all directions. Comfortable bed, good WiFi & television. Good laundry facilities. However, no bathroom privacy-the toilet & shower room are partitioned from the rest of the space only by a curtain. The apartment was very hot & stuffy at night even with a small window open. The large windows were locked shut & the portable AC unit was not helpful. Entering & leaving required using 3 different digital locks each with a different passcode. It felt like being locked in a bank vault.

I just wanted a location close to Vannes for easy access to restaurants for evening meals with internet access and free parking right outside as I was carrying many heavy tools and equipment. Also good road connections to Arzon (Port du Crouesty) where I was working on my boat in the daytime. It ticked that box perfectly.

We loved Vannes.
We loved Vannes. The old town is so interesting with its medieval buildings and hidden streets and squares. It is so close to the port with its waterside activities. We visited the Cathedral and the Musee de Beaux Arts, Despite ongoing renovations at the Cathedral we still found lots to look at. The ramparts and gardens are also well worth a look. There were plenty of places to eat. The day we visited the old town it poured with rain so we had wonderful moules frites opposite the cathedral. We could have stayed a lot longer in Vannes and look forward to going back.
