Fantastic holiday cottage, very comfortable and well equipped - spacious terrace with beautiful garden and pool. The owners are extremely pleasant and helpful. We stayed 4 nights and will definitely rent this gite again next time we are in Valence. It’s a gem!!

Manu the owner of the house was really helpful and kind.
For the breakfast he had fetched the best croissants of France..and truly they were amazing!
He made a reservation for us to the nearby restaurant and that was really good too!
Manus family has a dog, Kaya and she was adorable. Our daughter fell in love to the dog.

The room was a nice size and very comfortable and the heated outdoor swimming was wonderful at the end of hot day. The host was also kind enough to readily supply us with plates and cutlery for the impromptu food we'd brought in for our tea.

I was there on a Monday, and then Absolutely Nothing is happening. The (only) museum is closed on both Monday and Tuesday. All bookshops (apart from FNAC) were closed as well.
Maybe other weekdays are better, but do not go there on Monday.

The place was okay for one night
Reza the young man who worked at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful.
There was no AC as it was mentioned but the room was very hot. They offer a microwave to worm up your food and the breakfast was just enough (coffee, croissants, cheese and jams). Easy access and close to the high way and the gas station.
Huge supermarket just 50 m from the hotel.

To be honest, Valence is an ugly city.
To be honest, Valence is an ugly city. The Rhone flows through it but alas large motorways beside it. The centre is a bit run down.
If you are on your way and are near it, you can visit the centre and have something to eat. There is a nice park near the river.

This was a forced stop but I didn't see anything that was worth visiting. It is just a small working town and the hotel we stayed in was a dump. Even taxi driver couldn't believe we would stay there. Also, you cannot hardly get an Uber...only 3 Uber drivers for whole city/town.
