The bedroom was amazing. Absolutely spotless
The sauna although we didn’t use it was a lovely touch
The bed was comfortable and lovely coffee and cakes available
The hist Thierry was fabulous, if was lovely to be able to have a chat at breakfast The breakfast items were gorgeous especially the croissants ( and I have eaten a few over the years )
Would certainly recommend this property and for people travelling solo , very safe
The neighbours were very helpful when we couldn’t find the entrance

Beautiful property set in private land. Huge gardens, warm and welcoming staff. Great facilities that are available for a long period of the day, everything was clean and well set up for guests. The room was spacious and bed was comfy. The restaurant served fantastic food that was full scale restaurant quality. Would 100% stay again.

Great location. Easy to walk into central Quimper and attend the Festival. The location meant we could nip back halfway through the day, have a rest, then return, refreshed.

Really liked Quimper. It's a beautiful city.
Really liked Quimper. It's a beautiful city. There is a rich heritage, many old houses, half-timbered houses, pedestrian and shopping streets. The cathedral is monumental, original with its two towers of the 19th and its choir off-center.
I went to multiple spots/beaches close to Quimper:
1. Phare d'Eckmühl
2. Plage la Torche-Tronoën
3. Pont-l'Abbé
4. Quimper itself.

The accommodation was excellent as already posted but there is nothing in the village of Gouesnach itself as it seems to have been affected by some form of economic decline - the only shop remaining (that we saw) was a pharmacy and several other former shops looked disused. That said it is potentially a charming small community and it was an easy ride to Benodet nearby for evening eating etc. There is no nearby beach - the road on which the property sits is a cul de sac and leads down to a picturesque but muddy inlet of the Odet but as previously mentioned Benodet is a relatively short ride away. This property is excellent for a quiet get away in the country and we very much enjoyed the visit and the charming hosts.

We stayed in Sainte Marine on the other side of the estuary from Benodet. The area is very well kept with lots of places to eat including the Michelin starred restaurant at Hotel Villa Tri Men.
Plenty of things to do, the beaches are very clean and lots of nearby places to visit.

Beautiful town, very friendly locals and other visitors alike! The only downside was a lack of a coffee shop/bakery opened during our stay (October!) However our main reason for visiting was to show kids where their dad grew up and we couldn’t wish for a better long weekend! Highly recommend it! Bonus points for Heated Pool in our property we stayed and fantastic running trails!

A very beautiful city, superb streets. Worth going to see the pottery museum and exhibition of Breton life. We were disappointed that the exhibition of fine arts was closed for renovation, but a good reason to return to the town when it reopens.
The height of the tourist season, the restaurants were extremely busy, too many creperies and taco bars and not enough regular restaurants.
More beggars than we are used to, but a few good street musicians as well.
The tourist map of town was very useful, obtainable at the tourist information office, but we couldn't find a bigger map showing more of the town and its immediate environment, apart from the OS map. Difficult to find cycle routes around and out of town.
The free events in the bishop's garden behind the cathedral were fun.
Comfy bed, well-equipped apartment, exceptionally clean, great location. Highly recommended. Great for visiting Quimper and Concarneau as well as the rest of South Finistere. Good local restaurants within easy walking distance, as is the beautiful beach.

We could return to Quimper again and again: there are a multitude of incredible restaurants and shops, it's easy to navigate and completely walkable. And a short bus or taxi ride to the waterfront, as well as river cruises, museums, cultural heritage tours, concerts ... we've been a few times now, and once again there was way more to do than we had time for!

Very few 3* plus restaurants, remaining were tourist "reas spoons" all with the same offers. Moules, steak, fish, standard French offerings.
One outstanding cafe on the edge of the market square, called Concept 18. Weekly market was excellent.
Boat trips and water related activities over priced by Spanish comparison.
Planned walks and bicycles available.
Many empty decaying properties, including hotels.
