The village was a great place to stay.
The village was a great place to stay. Very pretty and very interesting. We so enjoyed our strolls around the village. Lots of fascinating buildings. And the history trail info is really helpful. Highly recommend Cafe Corbon, only 2 minutes walk away! A great place for coffee, wine, beer, food, people watching. Very friendly staff and although it was quiet and very chilled in the day, a real busy buzz in the evenings!
Rochecorbon was a delightful surprise to us. We weren't expecting quite such an interesting and beautiful village. There were several shops too, including 2 boulangeries. The little village school and church added normal life to this friendly, cheerful village. The walks up in the vineyards were perfect!

Great venue. 10 minute walk from small village with friendly bar and baker shop but no other eating facilities. You have to drive about 7km for restaurants and when we stayed there were no facilities for an evening meal at the venue. Didn't woirry us as we seemed to be almost celebrities in the village bar!

Our arrival into the environs of the city concerned us a little. Lots of High rises, graffitti, and a bit scruffy looking. However, Tours is hiding a little secret at its heart. It is has one of the most beautiful centres at, rich in both architecture and history. It's easy to walk around, but cycling or the tram seems to be the norm for the locals. Sadly we were only staying for one night this time - but it was a Saturday and the medieval streets were literally buzzing with bon viveurs, students, and locals. Definitely a city I would love to explore more.

The staff was very kind and helpful, especially the staff in the dining room. Everything was very clean, big bed and beautiful bathroom. We would definitely stay there again. We were shocked about the amount we had to pay as a a deposit especially as we have never had to pay a deposit in a hotel before. Now I am still waiting to get it back.

We were just crossing the region and avoiding the motorways, but we enjoyed the spectacular views, the lovely villages, the greenery and the flowers. People living there obviously care for and about their surroundings. We saw also restaurants and buses with tourists, but we did not stop to interact.

We were only passing through, however go up into Saint Brice a short walk from the wonderful Hotel via a secret gate & sample the delights of the friendly local pub (by night) - le bistrot sur loire & the excellent restaurant le berlot.
We will be returning & will spend an extra night there - wonderful.

My wife has mobility issues so steps were difficult (my fault as I didn't read carefully enough), however, despite the difficulty she encountered getting to the property she has no regrets about the stay and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Facilities were extremely good and we enjoyed a self-cooked evening meal on the balcony watching the sunset across the Loire.

A town with many restaurants with overflowing terraces to eat. So many things to see in Tours and do. We spent a week visiting magnificent castle after Chateaux. Tours is placed beautifully in the middle of this wealth of architecture.

It is a convenient location for visiting by car, places like Chateau Chenonceau, Amboise, and Villandry. Can get a bus into Tours.
