Perfect for our stay, ideal for travelling with our dog ..... self catering facilities really good. Comfortable bed. The owner programmed the heating on for us as it was. Chilly and raining outside ....lovely and warm .....they left a basked of breakfast items for us !@

Lescar is very convenient for going to ski locations.
Lescar is very convenient for going to ski locations. There is plenty to do like bowling and other activities. There are numerous restaurants and shops. We particularly enjoyed the Laser games and the Chinese restaurant Fujin.

Pau is totally enchanting.
Pau is totally enchanting. The boulevard de Pyrenees with it’s wonderful views is spectacular. The covered market is exceptional. The Castle/Chateau area is beautiful. There is so much to see and do. There are lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and bars.

A lovely town with views, history, a charming historic center and a newer, lively area that also includes a university. Lots of places to eat, stroll and take in the scenery. Popular with the French, Pau is recommended especially for those looking for a destination that's just a bit off the beaten tourist path.

I was only there 1 night and until 3pm the following day. It's a really charming town with friendly local people, great food and drink options, history and culture and the stunning backdrop of the Pyrénées. I visited the Musee de Beaux Arts which was brilliant, Blend coffee and had a lovely evening with superb beers at Craft de Pyrénées.
