Beautiful location - stunning views and possibly the comfiest bed I've slept in for years. Lovely shower. Continental breakfast optional at 12 Euro which was reasonable. Staff were lovely too and very friendly.

Stunning property in a fabulous location.
Loved everything about it
We parked in Le Mazel covered parking, it was only €3 for overnight stay. It was a 5 minute walk to the apartment

The Comfort Room in the separate Villa des Jardins was beautifully appointed with a large comfortable bed, quality linen and comfortable chairs. Quiet and very clean. Easy distance from train station and centre. Very helpful manager and staff. Excellent service and food in the restaurant for dinner.

Central place in a town which is dead on Saturday night. The pub nearby serves great beers and good local meats. The beef tartar from Auvergne cattle was exceptional. Famous cathedral in Mende was unfortunately closed.

All staff were extremely helpful and spoke good English, saving my blushes at very poor French!
The food was great value and simply excellent quality.

Mende is a charming regional capital.
Mende is a charming regional capital. There are many places to visit in the wider Lozere area, We visited an outdoor art trail, a Spa and the beautiful Tarn Gorge during our visit and felt that we could spend much longer exploring the wider region.
The restaurants and bars in Mende were welcoming and we enjoyed great local beers and produce.

Mende is well located as a base for traveling around the Cévennes as well as being an interesting and attractive town. The cathedral was worth a visit. There didn’t appear to be many restaurants open in the centre so eating in the hotel seemed the best option. The tourist office were helpful.
