It was the most tranquil area. Ariane was a perfect hostess and was very very helpful.

The location was very convenient for us, traveling to a Baptism and Birthday party in a nearby village over the weekend. Very spacious house, main reception full of character - it used to be a local cafe and the original decoration is still there. The living room had a sofa bed which was a godsend for my mother as she has difficulty with stairs now. The living room and all bedrooms had TV's (though we didn't use them) and the wifi was more than adequate. The kitchen was very well equipped and opened onto the dining room which meant the kids didn't bring food through the house. Beds were very comfortable and there was a great shower. A small issue with the dish washer was fixed immediately - the hosts were very helpful and friendly.

It really was lovely.
It really was lovely. Great communication with the owner who left a little treat of some local alcohol which we enjoyed tasting (and some apple juice for a non-alcoholic version). There was tea and coffee which was also really appreciated. The little guide book is very helpful (though the section on boulangeries may need to be updated as one of the recommended places has changed hands/names). The recommendations though were great and we really got the most out of our short stay because of that. The furniture is all good quality (same with the bed linens) and we had a comfortable nights sleep and very relaxing shower to start our day. We’d happily stay again!

It was a Monday and restaurants are often closed but Le P'tit Braise was open in nearby Nomeny and did excellent kebabs, burgers and lamb chops with fries and salad (open til 10pm!) - only 50 euros for 4 of us including drinks (no alcohol) and ice cream desserts (didn't check for vege options but I think there was something...) Very good value and friendly staff.
