Wow! What a fantastic stay at Aurora Village. Beautiful accommodation and delicious meals. Lots of activities to do. A highlight was the Husky Sledding and the Wood Barrel Sauna/Ice Swim.

I had a very pleasant stay at Grand Hostel. Very close to the town center. Breakfast was not included but they offered free coffee, tea and porridge every morning.
Erkki, the hostel manager was very kind and helpful and available at any time. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Perfect price for the accommodation that we booked

Ivalo itself was cute.
Ivalo itself was cute. Not too touristy, much quieter than places close by and everyone so friendly with a well stocked supermarket. Not too many places to eat but it depends what you’re looking for. As a young family, it was perfect for us!

Ivalo is not big, but it is strategically positioned between Rovaniemi and Inari. Amazing location to admire the northern lights and visit Inari. Nature is incredible and it looks less touristy than Rovaniemi.

Best place to view Northern lights.
Best place to view Northern lights. Unique Husky ride , and snow mobile tours. Winter sports like skiing , cross country , snow walking.
Dreamy Winter Wonderland landscape ! Everything covered in snow is a picture perfect view .
Stay in a Glass Igloo cabin to view Northern lights ( weather permitted)
Renting a car is highly recommended , easy to get around even on an icy road . We used Alamo . Excellent car .
Book all your tours in advance to avoid disappointment .
Have fun and enjoy the cold . Be prepare to bring thermal clothing .
