We were blown away by the attention to detail. A Swedish wool throw blanket on the bed, two different pillow options for the bedding, Rituals products in the bathroom, shoe-horn, bottle-opener, the list goes on. The whole hotel is beautiful and the finishes are all high-end creating a true sense of luxury. The value-for-money is excellent and the location could not be better in relation to the airport. We used the wellness facility as well and also found it to be lovely. Breakfast is in a modern and stylish room with plenty of options. The rooftop restaurant is a must. Offering both delicious food and stunning views. Watching planes take off and land while the sun sets and you sip your prosecco is an excellent way to spend the final hours of your trip. During all interactions staff were professional, helpful and friendly.

Super breakfast! I was really impressed. There was everything that people usually eat on breakfast. It was delicious. The standard room was quite big, I found working there comfortable. No tea or coffee facilities in room.Room ok shower ok beds too small. All in all, adequate for a hostel but as hotels go this was overpriced and inadequate. Hygiene at breakfast questionable. As it was a quick overnight stay we coped could not have stayed longer. Simple light switches may also be an improvement, why do they have to be so tricky?

In general, Finland is a country to admire and enjoy, wherever you go you will find something that calls your attention to admire. They are always in constant evolution, for example The airport is very nice and I have no doubt that it is the best in Europe.

This is close to the airport but some distance from Helsinki. So you need to decide. I was arriving at 10-30 in the evening and my onward flight was next evening. So I booked here, also because they have a free bus service from the airport. But I had a walking tour in Helsinki next morning, and taking time constraints into account I had to take an uber to Helsinki, walk for a ling time with a heavy backpack (my hand luggage), then take a train to Helsinki airport. Not the hotel's problem. Mine. But that is why, if you plan for this kind of thing, be prepared.

At this time of year, late April, some of the tourist options dont operate as you might expect aka Hop on/off bus isnt that until into May, (convenient Tourist information at Senate Square in the City Centre. )Olympic Museum may be of interest but wont take that long to look round. Seems if you want the Salmon Soup you had better think about that early on a cold day - initially looks expensive but the pictures show large chunks of fish. Lake Tuulusa can be reached by bus from Kervo rail station - had as short stay there. Harbour boat trip was chilly so went inside after halfhour.

Our primary reason for Vantaa was our need to be at the airport very early. The public transport runs super efficiently. We bussed into central Helsinki using 2 routes and both were excellent. Bus stops literally outside the apartment block. The train station is a brisk 10 minute walk away and again super service for Helsinki, the airport or connections to wider Finland.. Locally there's a a couple big supermarkets too.

Vantaa was a good place to stay out of Helsinki with much reasonable prices. The aviation museum is a must see and spent half a day there. The mall near the hotel was very good and spent a whole day there. We used Vantaa as a break between trips but would spend more time in future.

From US$119 per nightmy friend and I spent four nights at HEL, 2 nights at Bob and 2 nights in another four star hotel. I would say, 10 is not enough to score Bob: best location, best staff, best facility. I would definitely choose Bob again when in HEL or other cities!
