We live in the Baix Ebre area of Catalunya, and always stop off in Vitoria when heading back to the port of Santander.. We chose the apartment , based on location, size and previous reviews. A very warm welcome from staff on reception. We would thoroughly recommend these apartments , they’re are spacious, comfortable, bathrooms are well appointed with excellent shower pressure and plenty of hot water. TV and free WiFi

Located in the residential neighborhood of Lakua and with easy access to the city center, since the tram stop is in front of the hotel and at the exit of the city due to its proximity to the highway.

This stay was part of a last minute trip through the nearby airport, where prices were better than from other airports. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the bus station and a nice 2 hour Sunday morning walk to the airport. In February 2024, I could stay for EUR 55, whereas the comfort provided is a class higher than what I usually book. The wifi was good, as were the other facilities. I especially liked being able to adjust the shower to my height (I am tall).

Signage off of AP68 poor. No mention of AS Altube Hotel at turn off.
Dirty, uncleaned shower from previous guest. Their empty toiletry bottles had been left in the shower and were still there. AS complimentary shower gel bottles also in shower tray, which was really dirty.
Cracked and dangerous tiled steps up to main entrance. Lifting up in places.
Only positive for us was the proximity to Brittany Ferries Port.

Bigger than you expect. Central old town easy to explore without a car. A car allows you to see many lovely little villages in glorious rolling green hills. And an option to swim in a lovely clear lake.
Too many good eating places to quote. Be prepared to eat small plates in the many pintxos/tapas bars.
