Hotel room was close to Camino, very clean , comgoryable and spacious. Cafes are next door. The checkin was via remote but was simple and efficient. It was a wonderful stay.

We booked very last minute, just as we were driving into Leon. Self check-in was easy, you just need to enter details into the portal and we had the codes sent to us to enter. It's just by a beautiful big park which leads to the old bridge entering to town which was an amazing walk and approach to first enter the old town. Lots of free street parking around the apartment, very happy we booked here and not more in the town centre as we had the car. Host was very attentive, gave great tips for things to see and tapas to try! Very much appreciate how quick they were to respond considering we booked last minute. Would recommend and stay again if in Leon.

Everything was amazing. The host met us at the bus station even though we arrived in Leon at 1:15 a.m. The apartment was great, comfortable, clean and with a different options for breakfast.

What you expect when booking a hostel on the Camino de...
What you expect when booking a hostel on the Camino de Santiago is at least a warm place, especially when you arrive wet and tired. That was NOT what happened. When I arrived, the hostel was still closed (I was there at the proposed check-in time). When opened, it was not clean, the trash bins were full from the previous day and the available blanckets were with hair of others on it. I don´t recomend!!!

I planned my first day of walking on the Camino to end at Oncina - simply because the place and restaurant looked so appealing. I was not disappointed at all. The food was amazing and my room was lovely. I would come back just to stay here and maybe stay longer. A quaint little fork in the road.

Leon is a tad touristy but still retains some of Europes most beautiful Archtecture not least of which is the Cathedral of course - built with a population supposedly around 5000 leaves one in awe at what was built … and where the money came from .
The modern side will entertain the shopaholics ( you know who you are !) but the cultural bit can be done in a few days with ease . Restaurants cater for all .

Walking on the Camino Frances route that parallels the highway. Didn't see anything of the town, as lodging fronted the highway. Would recommend walking the route to Villar de Mazarife from Leon, if possible to find accommodations there.

We stayed in the Old Town in central Leon and it was fantastic. Beautiful plaza’s around most corners and wonderful buildings of Gaudi and Leon Cathedral which are amazing. Food and drink very cheap and most bars provide a tapas with every drink.

Nice city to visit and spend 2 to 3 days. The area of Plaza Mayor and the Catedral deserve a full day to visit. Lots of good restaurants and bars to visit. Don’t miss the tapas.
