This place is a small paradise in Abu Simbel. With a view of Lake Nasser (where you can also swim), it offers a reprieve from the heat and the hectic life in Egypt. The host, Ash, was simply amazing. Kind, respectful. We got to talk a lot and know more about the Egyptian culture through him. I’m looking forward to coming back to Habib Camp.

Such generosity and hospitality. We were looked after as if we were visiting family. The experience of Abou Simbel is one that we would have missed if we had not been staying at Wawat. We happened to be there at one of the 2 busiest days of the year. Assim, our host, personally arranged for us to attend all the festivities. He found us tickets to the night show and tickets to be at the temple for sunrise the next day, charging us only the ticket price in spite of all his work to get them. He then was up at 4am with us to ensure we were in the right place in the huge festival queue to see the remarkable sunrise event as designed 3000 years ago.
We literally would not have been able to do this without Assim and Hamsah. And all with such warm, genuine smiles. Thank you.

We are really happy with our stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. They always try to make you feel like home. They can also get your tickets for the temple and the light&sound show. We didn’t know this but it would have been a great option. Location wise is quite convenient because it’s next to the bus station. They also have a tuktuk and Hamo will take you back and forth to the temple or wherever in Abu Simbel always with a smile. It was so nice not having to worry about the transportation because Hamo was always there to drive us around and make our life easier. They also helped us with the bus back to Aswan and made sure we had everything we needed.
The hotel seems also quite new and it is very clean.

The property itself was great. During the evenings, there's a chill atmosphere of simply sitting in their restaurant, enjoying the breeze, and being in a laid-back mode. Given how remote the place of Abu Simbel is, this is quite a good place to stay overnight with all the normal facilities one may need.

We were given two large brand new rooms for our family of four. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and the view over the water was fantastic. It was easy to arrive to the hotel using the free shuttle bus from the Abu Simbel airport (we got dropped off at the hotel's doorstep), and returning by the hotel's arranged tuktuk was equally straightforward. The hotel is within easy walking distance of good restaurants and they also have a restaurant onsite. The young man who seemed to be in charge of everything was wonderful.

Visit the temples in the afternoon (after 03.00pm) because the is nobody (except perhaps some extroverted sceaming chinese girls - but once they are gone). Yes, it´s hotter than in the morning and the light is not prefect. but you will have the temple for yourself and you will be able to make perfect photos from inside.

Abu Simbel is truly breathtaking.
Abu Simbel is truly breathtaking. We visited around noon on a blessed day during Ramadan, so there weren't many tourists. At times, it felt like we had the entire sites to ourselves. You can walk or take a transport cart to the sites.
