it was certainly a comfortable stay, the apartment is very clean, they even had netflix and a coffee machine. The host was very welcoming and even gave us a lift to town, such a nice person.

Excellent accommodation in semi rural area. Loved the ‘outdoor’ area above the ground floor roof.

I visited Sonderborg since I have ancestors who went from there to Australia about 150 years ago. I knew very little about the town and the island of Als and wished to learn more. Having spent five days there I am now delighted to know that it is part of my heritage.

Guderup is a typical Danish village, but as it is bang in the middle of Als you have easy access to everywhere on the island.
We only had 24 hours there where we started out in Sønderborg, stayed the night and then went to Universe Science Park for which the location was perfect.

We visit Sønderborg quite often.
We visit Sønderborg quite often. It's location at the Baltic Sea and close to the German border make it an attractive location for a day trip or weekend escape. The city center provides lots of shopping options and restaurants. We always enjoy walking along the habor promenade and along the beach.
