Allgäu Apartment is situated in Memmingen and has a private pool and pool views. This apartment features free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. It was fabulous. Don’t usually rate this high. There was nothing to complain about. Everything we needed was right there. The greatest service was Karin kindly picked us up at the airport and delivered us back. We had flown into an area we knew nothing about. The city is beautiful and easy to maneuver.

What I liked most about Memmingen was the perfect blend of tranquility and convenience. The town's relatively quiet atmosphere provided a serene escape, while still being close to Memmingen Airport and the town center. Moreover, Memmingen's location allowed me to easily travel to many major towns in Bavaria, making it an ideal base for exploring the region.

We in Lviv (and, more general, in Ukraine) know Memmingen mostly as the place of the airport for Wizzair flights from Ukrainian cities. However, Memmingen itself is a "German-German" city, well-preserved historical sight with a flavour of the old Germany and Bayern. After crowded and sometimes not very hospital Munich we appreciated that worm welcome we had during our short stay. I wish we could learn more about this city and I believe we will spend more time there, next time.

I only spent one night there so I can't say too much about the area, however within two minutes walk from the guest house there is a nice Italian restaurant where I had dinner. Trunklesberg is right next to Memmingem where there are lots of cafes and restaurants. It cost me 18 euro for a taxi from the middle of Memmingem to the guest house.

The range of shops and restaurants in Memmingen was excellent. Lots of interesting local history and wonderful architecture A local children's festival in July is worth being there for the streets are very clean. The city is only 5 minutes walk from the train / bus station

Good location for people using Memmingerberg airport. Unfortunately there was no staff to help despite us informing them of our arrival time. We had asked that we would need a taxi to take us back to the airport at 5 a.m. but there was no one there to help us. We (two people in our mid seventies) were faced with a kilometre walk, dragging our luggage to the airport at 5 a.m. in the morning when it was cold, dark and damp. Get some staff or at least provide notices with info on things like taxis and how to get help with problems that occur.

Memmingen is best known for the local FMM airport used by low cost carriers but most air passengers seem to directly head off to Munich or other cities rather than visit this attractive small Bavarian town. The town is a mix of modern and older buildings with an attractive central square and some old town walls still standing. It is a good place for a short overnight stay after arriving or before departing from the airport. Unfortunately FMM airport is far too small for the number of planes and passengers using it and few people whose aircraft departs from overcrowded FMM will want to return.
