Location and Transport
Located just 2 miles (4 kilometres) south of the city centre, Bremen Airport is the only international airport in Germany set within ten minutes of a city centre. The best way to access the airport is by taxi, which will cost around EUR 10 each way and take 20 minutes, depending on traffic. You can also reach Bremen Airport from Central Station by tram (line 6), which departs every ten minutes, or bus (line 52), which departs every 30 minutes to/from Kattenturm.

It’s an ADORABLE little town.
It’s an ADORABLE little town. I visited in December, when the squares were filled with Christmas market stalls, which only added to the charm. There are plenty of green areas and lovely places to walk along the river. It’s a small, very walkable city.
I highly recommend eating at Markthalle Acht, a food court offering a great variety of international and local food.
The only downside was the frequent rain, but apparently that’s quite common in German cities.

We spent two nights in Bremen, enough time to visit the romantic Christmas markets (both, in the city square and the Schlachte Zauber recommended!), the main exhibition at the Kunsthalle, and several clothing stores. We lunched at the Markthalle

I've been to Bremen plenty of times in the past as there...
I've been to Bremen plenty of times in the past as there used to be direct flights from Manchester. Now you have to go via Hamburg and then get a few trains. This time I tried KLM's dual flights and, I think I will stick to going via Hamburg in future.
Bremen has an excellent bus/tram service to help you get around and the Wienachtsmarkt is one of the best as there are several sites spread around the town, including the Pirate Market by the river.
