One immediately recognises that this was a lobour of love, everything has been thought about, resulting in both cool and homey design and practical convenience. It's far away from Berlin's inner city, but there's a direct train connection nearby that would take you to the bustle in the very heart of the city in about 50 minutes (if DB plays along). Conveniently close to the airport. An amazing value for money.

We arrived late due to a delayed flight, and it was so kind of the host to let us stay for longer by approving a late check-out. Highly recommended.

Hotel cleanliness and staff service were all good. Except there were no clear sign from airport to the hotel. For 1st timer at the Berlin Airport was challenging to locate. There is also no covered walkway from T1 to the hotel. We have the braved the cold and rain.

Hmmm, what a question, a review of Schönefeld airport pictured in the sign? I once almost booked a hotel in the city of Schönefeld but discovered I would have been nowhere near the airport or downtown Berlin. Oops. The BER airport actually has very little to do with the cities of Schönefeld or Berlin - it's isolated out in the middle of nowhere. It took forever to build and is a 45 minute trip from Berlin, minimum. Best to take a direct FEX train. That said, the city of Schönefeld looks gemütlich, classic Deutsch and BER airport is well designed, modern, with efficient staff.

We were surprised by how nice the hotel was!
We were surprised by how nice the hotel was! The room was so spacious and well decorated. The bed was super comfortable, and the air conditioning was very cold! :) There was water and a Nespresso machine in the room. The bathroom was huge, and the shower was great. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and it was very good too. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Car parking very limited, and fee charged to use hotel car park, 14 euros a night, despite being a guest. They are very hot on fining for parking if you exceed the time restrictions on adjacent streets if you don’t use hotel car park.

Great reception, food closed but suggested lovely italian 500 metres nearby. Very helpful with bus directins and leaflet for next day and breakfast was great. Would have like tea and coffee in room but was ok. Great they had snacks and drink machines for when reception closed
