La Foresta was a beautiful place to stay! We e saw so much wildlife and loved the trails out back of the hotel. We say monkeys and toucans from our breakfast table! Staff were very friendly and food was delish!! We stayed in the two bedroom villa and it was wonderful to have the kitchen and small deck area. they also run a shuttle to the National park and beach throughout the day. This is super convenient!

It’s a real gem — a beautiful spot where you wake up each morning to the sound of squirrel monkeys. I was so happy to be there, and those little monkeys brought a boost of joy every single morning. Jorge is an amazing host: friendly, helpful, and wonderfully patient. We loved the delicious coffee each morning and the fresh fruit from their own plantation. We also saw so many birds, including macaws and hummingbirds — such a treat.

The view was amazing. The restaurant right outside your front step is handy for food and drinks. Staff is very efficient and friendly. The property was away from the bedlam that is Manuel Antonio.

The town of Quepos was a lot most touristy than other towns, particularly close to Manuel Antonio National Park. Parking 'attendants' and street vendors were in our faces trying to sell us anything. Manuel Antonio National Park is worth the trip (and the beach in the park is beautiful), but I'd prefer to not spend too much time in Quepos. We did eat and have drinks at El Avion restaurant, which was really cool with a great view of the sunset.

First time visiting Costa Rica and cried today when we had to leave. A week is most definitely not long enough to take in this beautiful country. So much to do and see. Too much to list that was simply the best - the locals, sunsets, beaches, locals were the best, food was amazing, monkeys, sloths and more! Take me back!! ❤️

Quepos itself is a little rough, but Manuel Antonio is a gem. Be wary of all the hustlers on the beach. Would have liked to go fishing but the prices for charters were steep. Great eateries. I forgot the name but the seafood restaurant before the bridge into town was excellent.

So, 16 years ago, we had a very different experience at the park. The interactions with the wildlife was quite exciting (and so different from anything we experienced before). Now, they very tightly regulate the food situation in the park, which I 100% understand and respect. But in so doing, the wildlife really couldn't care less about interacting with the tourists. You cannot bring food in (they will go through every nook and cranny of your back packs/bags). You have to buy food and consume it in a caged area. Think about that for a sec: now the humans are in the cage consuming the food and the wildlife is outside watching us. The irony! Anyway, the abundance of wildlife was significantly diminished on our day there. We decided to spend a day at the public beach instead of going back to ManAntonio because you can rent a cabana and a lounge for cheaper than entry to the park. Plus, they have vendors there that sell you food/drinks/trinkets, etc. The beach faces the pacific and so the waves are a bit more fun. It's a nice sandy beach that wasn't that crowded last week.

To us nothing there but closeness to Antonio Manuel and other beaches. Not much to do in the city but plenty of all kinds of shops and one of the best local restaurants we encountered ... Soda Sanchez

Once again, an expensive tour.

Once again, an expensive tour. Didn't see many animals, or if we did, they were blobs in the trees. Lovely beach, but we only had half an hour there. The park has well-run facilities, and the rules are respectful of the animals. Great guide. Would I say it is a "must" and you are missing out if you don't go? No.
