This place is amazing and the owners are very sweet and friendly. This was the nicest place I have stayed in costa Rica so far. It's in a non touristy quite part of town.

Lovely little stand alone house with a great outside area and a small private pool. We'll equipped kitchen. The two bathrooms mentioned in the description were really one bathroom and one outside toilet and shower. A little further away from La Fortuna but with a car no problem.

Great place for families with kids. We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. Plus we also got a free excursion in the sorrounding garden where Juan grows mangos, avocados, blackberries and meny other fruits. Absolutely recommend.

We had Casita 1, a converted shipping container, and loved it. Great a/c, decent space, and a tv with Netflix, etc. (not that we used it). Loved the gardens and the pool. Best if you have a car, but, if you do, it's a good location. About 15 min into La Fortuna, and there are good bakeries (one easily walkable) and a couple of small supermarkets in Las Angeles. Secure behind a high wall and metal electronic gate. We loved it.

Great hotel, good location for our purposes. The pool and grounds were beautiful. The casita was a perfect size with two double beds and private bathroom. Walking distance to a wonderful restaurant that served us a free welcome drink and dessert after dinner. Service was very efficient. Excellent breakfast! Pura Vida.

Amazing area of jungl and volcanoes in central Costa Rica.
Amazing area of jungl and volcanoes in central Costa Rica. Fun small towns with stores and restaurants. Lots of adventures activities if you want them (hiking, biking, rafting, hot springs, cloud forest tours, etc.). Definitely work a couple of days visit if you are coming to Costa Rica!

We love the ease of walking the town for most anything you need. The tours we have taken have been wildlife, the volcano and we hope to get back again to see a few more that we just didn’t get fit in. The tours pick you up and get you back easily. The people of Fortuna are all so nice and helpful. Our favorite spots are Arenal Monara for lodging and Ecotermales Hot Springs for relaxing

This is too-busy area packed with too many tourists who are perfectly fine paying too much for too little. This appears to be the start of what I call "plastic tourism," where people are content being sucked into overpriced, commercialized experiences.
There were too many people doing tick-box tourism, taking pictures of themselves rather than the gloriously beautiful area they were in.
There are some genuine "Costa Rica" experiences to be had, but they are rare. I doubt I will be back.
