We booked the deluxe queen room: perfect for our family, basic but clean, with good AC, and surprisingly bug-free! Breakfast was tasty, with coffee/tea, fruit, and a hot platter, and there are several wonderful hammocks for relaxing by the river. However, the best part our stay were the people: 1) Ana, one of the owners, was so warm and helpful (and patient with my attempts at basic Spanish) and her staff were equally friendly; and 2) Owen the tour guide was FANTASTIC: he has such passion for conservation, has a a sharp eye for spotting wildlife, and was instrumental in getting us to the right spots for turtle nesting. Strongly recommend booking the morning Canal tour as well as the late night Turtle tour with Owen, and booking the lodge in general if you want a welcoming, authentic experience!

It is located from a 10-minute boat ride to the center of Tortugero, but they are also arranging the transfers thereto. We went to a morning boat tour with the host in Tortugero National Park and it was the best experience - he is very knowledgable, and have very good eyes to spot even the smallest animals.

Set on a riverbank and surrounded by jungle, Tortuga Lodge offers an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and a restaurant serving fusion cuisine with Caribbean flavours. All rooms have river views. Really an incredible location. The staff was also amazing.

Beautiful scenery, helpful and friendly staff. Lots of wildlife! We saw sloths, toucans, macaws, snakes, crocodiles, caimen, iguanas and more!!! We deffinetly would come back here, we had an amazing time!

Offering a garden, swimming pool and a wellness center with massage services. Aninga Lodge is located 3.2 km from Tortuguero National Park. Amazing place either way nice staff. Barbie girl helped us alit. She also was our guide in the nturtle nestling tour at night. Really amazing.
