Ipiales is about 20 mins driving from Las Lajas which was...
Ipiales is about 20 mins driving from Las Lajas which was named as the most beautiful church in South America. After I wend there, I agreed that it is very beautiful and the design is unique.
Ipiales is also 10 mins driving from the border to Ecuador. I had no issue to cross the land border in 15 mins.

There is nothing in Ipiales.
There is nothing in Ipiales. It's a dirty place, with shady characters that you wouldnt miss much by skipping this place completely. However, it's THE border town so you have to go here. While you're here make the best of it! Definitely go to Las Lajas Sanctuary during your stay. If Ipiales is a 0, Las Lajas Sanctuary is a 10!
