El SalvadorThe manager Luxugang was incredibly helpful. He helped us to book a car with driver to visit the different sites. The hotel itself was very nice, beautifuly decorated. Breakfast was very good as well.

It's a nice stop on the way west to Xinjiang.
It's a nice stop on the way west to Xinjiang. I would of course rank Dunhuang higher but Jiayuguan is great for one day if you want to see the western end of the Great Wall. The wall itself is photogenic and be on the lookout for costumed characters inside who look like they're from the Ming dynasty.
