Gorgeous and quiet location, with a very clean, cozy suite. The hosts generously provided us with fresh eggs and bread as well as pantry staples like cold cereal and oatmeal to make breakfast. Thoughtful touches like fresh cookies and a few candies on the pillow were a delightful surprise for our kids.

I could not ask more of a B&B. Everything you can reasonably expect is provided in the roon and (shared) lounge/kitchen. Although not all rooms have a direct view of the glacier, you can pop outside and sit on the patio to enjoy the breathtaking mountain panorama. Helmut and Michaela are amazing hosts. They have plenty of useful tips in store, plus many an entertaining story. We felt quite at home at Silvern Lake B&B and hope we can come back one day!

Second time at LDR. Stayed in the Dutch Treat, smaller than the big lodge that we stayed in last time, but just as spectacular. Love this place! The property, lodges, owners, they're all fantastic!
Very comfy beds and bedding, great shower. And they're building a beautiful sauna for the cabin.

Smithers is a beautiful town with lots of great shopping, restaurants, craft breweries, and an abundance of gorgeous mountain scenery. We had a very fun weekend stay and enjoyed all that Smithers has to offer. We liked the Farmer's Market, the shopping (including the thrift and consignment stores), the local craft breweries, the sushi at Blue Water Sushi, and a great day of hiking up to Crater Lake on Sunday. There was also a Main Street Market taking place on the Saturday which was like a street festival with vendors and other activities, music, etc. It was fun.

Smithers, BC, exceeded my expectations with its charming atmosphere and excellent skiing options during my 3-day stay. The presence of a good brewery added to the experience, and the friendly locals further enhanced the city's appeal.
