Good location and comfortable room and bed. The staff is very helpful and we were able to check in earlier. The breakfast is plentiful and the view from the restaurant is breathtaking. There are also some good restaurants nearby and fast food places in the airport terminal.which is minutes away.

Centrally located in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, it’s within walking distance from Glória Subway Station and Municipal Theatre. Copacabana Beach is 10 minutes by car.

Comfortable Modern clean Hotel. Loved the breakfast. Good value for money. I visited during the Rio Carnival and a few events were around the area where the hotel was located. It was closer to the airport. Bit further away from the beach. BUT uber is very cheap. Cost me £4-5 to get to Ipanema. Neighbourhood doesn’t look that unsafe compared to some of the reviews I had read before going on holiday. Some of the blocos were around the hotel and it was safe. Having said that I took Ubers to the beach everyday as it was very cheap.

We had a wonderful stay at the Novotel RJ Santos hotel. Without exception all of the staff made us feel very welcome. We don’t speak Portuguese but everyone made a great effort to either speak English to us or to understand what we wanted. We had breakfast and our evening meals at the hotel every day and both were exceptional. The food was delicious and great value for money. Our room was spotlessly clean. If we go to Rio de Janeiro again we will definitely choose to stay at this hotel.

I am glad that I stayed at this hotel during the carnival of 2025. It's a difficult time, all the hotels in Rio are full and prices are skyrocketing. The hotel staff is amazing! Respectful and responsive attitude towards the guests. 24-hour security guards. The room is clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is good. Convenient transport accessibility, taxi, metro, buses and tram to all parts of the city.
